BAILLIE - MOORHEAD

As her great-great-grandfather's clock struck 8 Saturday night, Miss Margaret Virginia MOORHEAD, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mel MOORHEAD of West Lincoln avenue, McDonald, became the bride of William J. BAILLIE, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. BAILLIE of Fourth street, McDonald.

The ceremony took place by candle light in the MOORHEAD home, with the Rev. John CAMERON of Lisbon, Ohio, officiating. Decorations were in green and white. 

The bride wore a gown of white satin, fashioned princess style, and a veil of tulle draped from a coronet. She carried calla lilies.

Her sister, Miss Julia MOORHEAD, as her maid of honor, chose holly green velvet with white accessories, and the bridesmaids, Miss Edith Jean BAILLIE, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Hilda Lila COOK, wore white velvet with green accessories. They carried holly. 

Wallace BAILLIE of Chicago was bestman for his brother. Mrs. William COOK sang the ceremonial music, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Wilbur DAVIDSON of Ingram. 

After a home reception the couple left for the East. After Friday they will be at home in New York City.

BAIN - BOOTH

Mr. and Mrs. John BAIN, Sr., of Midway announce the marriage of their son, Alex BAIN of Detroit, Mich., and Edith BOOTH, also of Detroit, the daughter of Mrs. A. R. SUNBERG of Burgettstown.

The ceremony was performed Saturday, June 26, 1943, at 8:00 p.m. in the Outer Drive Faith Lutheran church, Detroit, by the Rev. O. L. KEMP.

The bride wore a luggage tan suit and white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. The bridesmaid, Miss Gladys FROHREIP of Detroit, wore a coral suit with white accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. Austin E. WILLIAMS of Detroit served as bestman.

After the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at the Book-Cadillac hotel, 
where a table was set for fifteen guests. 

The couple will reside in Detroit, where the bridegroom is employed.

BAIN - LAING 

Miss Edna Mae LAING, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam LAING of Midway, and Mr. James Nelson BAIN, son of Mr. and Mrs. John BAIN, also of Midway, were united in marriage at six o'clock Friday evening, May 16, 1941, in the home of the bride's parents. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Alfred HUBBARD, pastor of the Center United Presbyterian church, Midway, before an improvised alter of bridal wreath.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white organza with a square neck trimmed with white velvet ribbon, a bodice of princess
lace and short puffed sleeves. Her finger-tip veil of white tulle fell from a coronet of white flowers. She wore her mother's string of crystals and carried a bouquet of white carnations and lilies. The maid of honor, Miss Ila LAING, sister of the bride, wore a gown of pink organza, similar to her sister's, and she carried pink carnations and snapdragons. Mr. John PARNABY of Midway served as bestman. Mrs. R. M. DONALDSON, Bible school teacher of the bride, played the Lohengrin wedding march.

Following the ceremony, a wedding supper was served to thirty guests, twelve seated at the bride's table. Pink and white predominated and a large
wedding cake formed the table centerpiece.

Mrs. BAIN is a 1939 graduate of Midway high school. Mr. BAIN is employed by the Pittsburgh Coal Co. The young couple will reside in Midway.
