The Harkaway Farm just east of town was the scene of a pretty wedding on Thursday evening, June 21, 1917, when Miss Susan Spencer ALLISON and Mr. Steven Howard SUTTON of Woodlawn were united in marriage by the Rev. J. P. JORDAN, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of McDonald, assisted by the Rev. A. B. ALLISON a cousin of the bride. The decorations were carried out in pink and white. Mrs. Ralph RETZER, a recent bride, was matron of honor, and I.  McDonald SUTTON, a brother of the groom, was best man. Agnes Craig GARBY was flower girl and Rose MULLIGAN was ring bearer. Miss Hazel BOWMAN, a cousin of the bride, played the wedding march. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served, after which Mr. and Mrs. SUTTON left for a trip to the Lakes.
