Wedding Notice: Sgt. Harry AIVALOTIS and Miss LaRue FRAMPTON

AIVALOTIS - FRAMPTON


Mr. and Mrs. John AIVALOTIS of Midway announce the marriage of their son, Sgt. Harry AIVALOTIS, stationed at Mitchell field, N.Y., to Miss LaRue FRAMPTON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert FRAMPTON of Jerome, Somerset county. The ceremony was performed at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 1943, in the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian church, New York City, by the Rev. Clarence E. BOYER.

The bride wore blue with white accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Angelo R. POPE, wore black with matching accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. Sgt. William H. GROND served as bestman.
After the ceremony the wedding party dined at Toffenettes, Broadway and Forty-second street.

On Tuesday, June the 20th, at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Olive DOUGHTY of Wilkinsburg occurred the marriage of Miss Gladys Leone DOUGHTY to Mr. James C. AKERS of Everett, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. AKERS will be at home in Everett after August 1st. Mrs. AKERS is a graduate of the McDonald high school in the class of 1918 and is well known in this vicinity.

Miss Mary Dorothy KISH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert KISH of Oakdale, and John Charles ALAKAMOVITCH, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony ALAKAMOVITCH of Sturgeon, were united in marriage at 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 1940, in the home of the bride, the Rev. Ross T. CAMPBELL, D.D., pastor of Robinson's Run U. P. church, McDonald, performing the ring ceremony.

The bride wore a gown of white eyelet batiste, fashioned with her own deft fingers, and a finger-tip veil of tulle. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and snapdragons. The maid of honor, Miss Helen KISH, sister of the bride, wore a blue marquisette gown and she carried pink snapdragons. The bridesmaid, Miss Nellie ALAKAMOVITCH, sister of the bridegroom, wore a pink marquisette gown, and carried pink snapdragons. Mr. Stanley ALAKAMOVITCH, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman and Mr. Charles TROPECK of Sturgeon was the usher.

Following the ceremony, a lunch was served in the KISH home. A large wedding cake, decorated by the bride, formed the table centerpiece. The home was decorated with garden flowers.

The young couple will reside in McDonald.

Va., by the Rev. H. W. BEST. Mr. and Mrs. D. PACILLA of Washington were the attendants.

Mrs. ALBERTINI is a 1939 graduate of Cecil high school. Mr. ALBERTINI, a 1935 graduate of Hickory high school, is employed by W. H. FARRAR & Sons. They will reside with the bride's parents.

Miss Milis Lillian HEALY, daughter of John HEALY of the Southside, McDonald, and Joseph G. ALEXANDER, son of Mrs. William ALEXANDER of West Pike street, Canonsburg, were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 1943, in the Immaculate Conception church, Washington, by the Rev. Fr. M. J. HUGHES. 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a light blue tailored suit with white and navy accessories and a corsage of white rosebuds. She was attended y her sister, Mrs. Henry PIRMEZ of McDonald, who wore navy blue with a corsage of pink rosebuds, and Miss Margaret ALEXANDER of Canonsburg, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a poudre blude suit with white and navy accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Mr. ALEXANDER was attended by Lieut. Frank LEONARD of Washington & Jefferson college. 

After a trip to New York City, Mr. and Mrs. ALEXANDER will make their home in Washington.

Miss Dorothy Ann LOWTHER, daughter of Mrs. Mary HASTINGS of Coraopolis, and Joseph Earl ALLINDER, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. ALLINDER of Clinton avenue, Oakdale, were quietly married at 7:30 o'clock Tuesday evening, April 29, 1941, in the First Presbyterian church of Coraopolis by the Rev. Mr. Welch. Only members of the immediate family witnessed the ceremony.

The bride wore blue and her corsage was of pink roses. Mr. and Mrs. John HANKS of Brodhead park were the only attendants.

Mr. and Mrs. ALLINDER will reside at 401 Mill street, Coraopolis.
