On Wednesday afternoon, August 19th occurred the marriage of Miss Jennie LESCALLETTE and Mr. Elmer ABEL, both of Oakdale. The wedding took place at Washington, Pa. Mr. ABEL is employed at the Oakdale Feed Mills and both are well known here.

Miss Ruth LaVern JONES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David JONES of Imperial, and Howard Lee ACKMAN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred ACKMAN of R.D. 1, Oakdale, were united in marriage at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 1943, in the home of the Rev. Howard RANK, pastor of the Presbyterian church, Follansbee, W.Va.

The bride wore a pecan brown suit with matching accessories and a corsage of carnations. She wore her grandmother's wedding ring. 

Mrs. ACKMAN, a 1936 graduate of Findlay Vocational school, is employed by the Pittsburgh Forging Co. of Coraopolis. Mr. ACKMAN is employed by the Union Colliers Coal Co., Clinton.

The young couple reside with the bridegroom's parents.

The bride is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. CAMPBELL of Fourth street and is well known in McDonald.
