Class of 1934 of Midway High School 50th year reunion

Midway Class of 1934 Holds 50th Reunion

Sixteen of the 29 members of the Class of 1934 of Midway High School attended the 50th year reunion held Saturday, July 7, at the Tonidale on Route 22. Eight members of the class are deceased and five were unable to attend. Some came from as far away as Alabama, Florida and New York.

Registration began at 6:00 p.m. with Sara SAWHILL WILLIAMSON in charge. Alberta GRIFFITH REMMERT welcomed the group and offered the invocation. White carnations were placed in a vase as each deceased member was named. These included Zula BAMFORD COLE, George BELL, James BELL, William BISH, Lyle BROCKMAN, Dorothy CRAWFORD MUSTIO, Thelma LATSHAW UWING and Harry LOUER.

Pink carnations were then added to the vase for members not attending. These included Helena NOURIGAT, Fred NOURIGAT, Dorothy ELDER COLLIER, Edward WELSH and Clara Mae KENDALL.

Each person present was given a rose and a small prize. The cake, flowers and other decorations
