First FARRAR Family Reunion 1927
Descendants of James and Cynthia FARRAR
From the McDonald PA Record newspaper, June 24, 1927,
page unknown:
FARRAR Family Reunion
The first reunion of the FARRAR clan will be held at the Mt. Prospect
Presbyterian church near Hickory, Thursday, July 14. A basket dinner will be
served at noon and all members of this connection are expected to be present. There are several branches of the FARRARs in this county, but the
branch who are descendants of James and Cynthia FARRAR have never held a
reunion. The original FARRARs came to what was known as Jutown, N. J., many
years ago. Samuel FARRAR, the early settler in this county, came to the Burgettstown section in the year 1788. Many members of this clan reside in
Washington county and they are working to make this reunion a big event. No
invitations will be sent out, but all persons connected with this clan are
invited to attend.
