100th Birthday Celebration of Julia H. STRIMEL BEAUMARIAGE

From the McDonald PA Record-Outlook, Nov. 7, 1984, page unknown:

Julia H. STRIMEL BEAUMARIAGE of the Good Shepherd Personal Care Home, 119 Greenside Avenue, Canonsburg, celebrated her 100th birthday on Tuesday, November 6, 1984.

Asked to what she attributes her long life, she answered, "I lived a good life. I worked hard and took care of myself."

She says her hobbies were canning and sewing. According to the staff, she spends her days watching television and waiting for her children to visit. "And they do, some come every day and they often gather on Sundays."

Born in 1884 in Belgium, she came to the United States in 1887. She is the wife of the late Arthur S. BEAUMARIAGE, whom she married on March 18, 1903. He died in 1964.

Formerly a resident of Cecil, she is the mother of 11 children, seven of whom are living. There are four sons, Arthur BEAUMARIAGE of McDonald, R. D. 3, Harry BEAUMARIAGE of Washington, Raymond BEAUMARIAGE of Port Angeles, Washington and Gilbert BEAUMARIAGE of Canonsburg, and three daughters, Dora SECREET of McDonald, R. D.3, Helen HARTMAN of Heidelberg and Julie WAGNER of Canonsburg. The four deceased children are Adlin BEAUMARIAGE, Blanch BEAUMARIAGE, Raymond BEAUMARIAGE and Marie CROFT. There are 20 grandchildren, 30-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
