Bentleyville Tops in PNA Bowling
Bentleyville finished atop the the [sic] first half standings in the tight
Mon Valley Ladies PNA Bowling League race which came to an end last weekend.
Bentleyville assured the top spot by taking two of the three games from last
place Charleroi. Arnold City wound up a game off the pace, clipping Monesen
twice in a windup match. Monessen was third, three games behind the
pacesetters.
Top scorers in the final matches were Catherine SABELEK (Arnold City)
166-379; Jenny PAVLIK (Monessen) 125-361; Irene KOLBACKI (Charleroi) 152-395;
Nellie MARAAHALEK, (Bentleyville) 156; and Bea DeVALLE (Bentleyville), 385.
The second half race will begin on Friday. The final first half
standings show Bentleyville 29-16; 26-19; and Charleroi, 7-38.
