Louis Zelt Succumbs after a long illness - Former Member of Washington Council and Widely Known Man is Victim of Heart Trouble - Aged 73 years:
Louis Zelt, aged 73 years, a lifelong resident of Washington, and for a long period prominent in borough affairs, died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at his home 306 West Maiden Street, following an illness of two years due to heart trouble.
Mr. Zelt was born in Washington, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Zelt. For a number of years he served as a member of the borough council, taking an active part in politics of the town.
His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Weir Zelt, survives with the following children: Louis, Jr., Wray G, Henry, Adam, Frank and Miss Daisy Zelt all of Washington. Mr. Zelt leaves three brothers and two sisters: Albert and Jacob Zelt of Washington; Frank Zelt of Berkeley, Cal; Mrs. Calvin Greer of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Ella Murray of Washington, DC.
Funeral services will be held at the Zelt home Friday Afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Washington Cemetery.
