Partial Transcript of Obituary from The Reporter newspaper, Washington Co., Pa., Apr. 15, 1936, p. 1:

Obit - cut off during Xeroxing - for Miss Lizzie H. Murdoch [excerpt] - she died noon of April 15, 1936; family came from Scotland, were pioneers in Washington Co. Pa. in 177_; grandfather was John Murdoch and was the County's Prothonotary. Her father was an attorney, and was in the U. S. gov't under Presidents Lincoln and Grant; he was a banker and president of the First National Bank. Also granddaughter of Rev. Matthew Henderson, pioneer; ____ Reformed Presbyterian [church]. She was the last of 6 children, named Alexander, Eliza, Mrs. Templeton, Margaretta C., John H., ___ Murdoch, Mrs. Lucy _____. Surviving: many nieces and nephews. Member: First United Presbyterian church.
