Section B [possibly page B-8]: GERTIE W. MICHENER - Gertie Walker Michener, of 785 Dry Run
Road, Monongahela, died Sunday, January 7, 1968, at her home after a
brief illness.
She was
formerly employed at Bails and Vorhees Restaurants at Washington.
She was
born September 11, 1875, at Nebo, Greene County, a daughter of George S.
and Wimpo Herrod Walker. On February 10, 1902, she married Harry
Michener, who survives.
Also surviving
are the following children, Goldie, wife of Arcibale Campbell,
Monongahela, R. D., Maegallingani, of Monongahela, Fannie, wife of E. W.
DeWitt, of Washington, R. D. 4, Dorothy Mullen, of Richeyville, Harry,
of Pittsburgh, Albert, of California state [sic, no cap]; 26
grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren;
brothers and sisters, Duffa, wife of Jess D McCombs, of Washington,
Pleasy McAfee, of Washington, Grover C. Walker, of Washington, T. G.
Walker, of Claysville, J. Russell Walker, Daytona Beach, Fla. and Don
Walker, of Carnegie.
One brother and
three sisters are deceased.
