Transcript of the Obituary for ARTHUR FREEMAN DETRICK from The Observer-Reporter newspaper, Washington Co., Pa., Jan. 8, 1968, Section B [possibly page B-8]:

ARTHUR F. DETRICK - Arthur Freeman Detrick, 64, of Grindstone, R. D. 1, died at 2:10 p. m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 1968, in Brownsville General Hospital.

Mr. Detrick was born December 7, 1903, at Bittinger, Md., a son of Dennis and Harriet Beachy Detrick. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, Bittinger, Md., and United Steel Workers of America.

Surviving are his wife, Delia [sic] Wilt Detrick; two daughters, Nellie, wife of John F. White and Verlys, wife of Raymond J. Hamilton, both of Layton, Okla.; one son, Luther Ray Detrick, Leesville, La.; five brothers, Elmer, Leisenring; Delbert, Raymond and Ralph, all of Beallsville and Harley, Springs, Pa.; four sisters, Leona Detrick, Beallsville; Mrs. Ruth Duckworth, Beallsville; Grace Humble, Frostburg, Md. and Marian Humble, Salt Lake City, Utah and eight grandchildren. One son, Fay, died in 1952; a brother, Clayford, died in 1956 and another brother, Harry Webster Detrict [sic], died in 1962.



FUNERAL NOTICE, B-8:

DETRICK - Friends of Arthur F. Detrick, Grindstone, who died Sunday, Jan. 7, 1968, will be received in the Greenlee Funeral Home, Beallsville, after 7 p. m. Monday. Funeral arrangements will be announced.
