Obituary of Miss Inez A. Bailey 1968
A graduate of Washington Seminary and served with the Red Cross in France during World War I
Served as regent of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was secretary of the Washington County Historical Society

 

Transcript of the "Obituary" for INEZ BAILEY from The Observer-Reporter newspaper, Washington Co., Pa., Jan. 8, 1968, Section B [possibly page B-8]:

"INEZ BAILEY - Miss Inez A. Bailey, of 229 North Wade Avenue died at 10 p. m. Sunday, January 7, 1968, in Washington Hospital.
Miss Bailey was born near Amity, a daughter of Henry T. and Emma Swart Bailey. She was a graduate of Washington Seminary and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She served with the Red Cross in France during World War I and later in Romania, where she was a member of the Balkan Commission.

She was twice president of the Current Events Club and had served as regent of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was secretary of the Washington County Historical Society and was also well known as an artist having pictures exhibited in many places throughout the East.
