ANNOUNCEMENTS

Death Notice

BARTOLOZZI - Guido I. [BARTOLOZZI ], 64, of 12 Graham avenue, Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 1957, at 6 a.m. in the Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sylvia BARTOLOZZI; one son, Jorden [BARTOLOZZI ], at home; one brother and two sisters in Italy.  Friends are being received at the FERGUSON Funeral Home, Belle Vernon, from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 4, at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D. FERGUSON, funeral director.

COLANGEL - Archille F. (Kelly) [COLANGEL], 69, of 416 Knox avenue, Monessen, died suddenly Wednesday, January 2, 1957, at 3:15 a.m.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary COLANGEL; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph M. (Virginia) [COLANGEL] DUDAS, Jr.; one grandson; two brothers, Rome [COLANGEL ] of Monessen and Florindo [COLANGEL ], of McKees Rocks; two sisters, Rose [COLANGEL ] of Connecticut and Cecelia [COLANGEL ] in Italy.  Friends are being received at the Perry A. COZZA Funeral Home, 441 Reed avenue (near high school) beginning Jan. 2 at 7 p.m.  Funeral home visiting hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and and 7 to 10 p.m.  Brief services will be held at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan 5 followed by a solemn requiem high mass at 10:45 p.m. at the St. Cajeran Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Nunzioo P__li, officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.  Perry A. COZZA, funeral director.

DOWNER - Wilbur C. [DOWNER], Craven Hill, Carrol [sic] Township, died in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 1957 at 12:10a.m.  Surviving are two sons, Clarence W. DOWNER, Fisher Heights; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Bernine) [DOWNER] TODD, Craven Hill; Jean d__ DOWNER, at home; three brothers, Arthur P. DOWNER, Allenport; William H. DOWNER, Charleroi; James W. DOWNER, Coal Center, and one sister, Mrs. Thomas LUNDY, Stockdale.  Friends will be received at the Harold L. SCHROCK Funeral Home, Charleroi, where funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Monongahela Cemetery.  Harold L. SCHROCK. Funeral Director.

GOLOMB - Thomas Antony [GOLOMB], five-weeks old son of Mr. and Mrs. John GOLOMB, Jr., 720 Rostraver street, Monessen, died January 1, 1957 at 7 p. m. in Memorial Hospital, Monongahela, after a very brief illness.  Surviving along with his parents are two brothers, John Frances [GOLOMB], and Charles Francis [GOLOMB]; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony VINGAS, and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John GOLOMB, Sr., all of Monessen.  Friends are being received at the CHECK Home for Funerals, Schoomaker avenue.  Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning, January 3 at 10:30 a. m. from the funeral home, followed by additional rites at 11 o'clock in St. Mary's Greek Catholic church, with Rev. John GASPAR officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery at Pricedale.  John L. KRA__TS, funeral director.

HAWK - Mrs. Anna [HAWK], of 534 Donner avenue, Monessen, died suddenly at 11:50 a. m. Dec. 30, 1956.  She is survived by one son, Marg_get HAWK, of Belle Vernon, [three?] grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  [The next two lines were garbled. Friends will be received an]], William [GROPP], and Frank  [GROPP]. [Four brothers also survive, Charles [GROPP], Alfred [GROPP], William [GROPP], and Frank  [GROPP], all of Beaver Falls.   Friends will be received at the CHECK Home for Funerals, beginning at 7 p. m. on Dec. 31.  Funeral home visiting hours are from 2 to 5 p. m. and 7 to 10 p. m. Services will be held from the funeral hoome at _ a. m. Thursday, Jan. [6 ?], followed by requiem high mass at 9:30 a. m. at the Sr. Leonard R. C. Church with the Rev. Martin O'TOOLE officiating.  Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  John L. Ka__ts funeral director.

KING - We wish to thank the many thoughtful friends and neighbors who extended us kindness in our recent bereavement, the death of Charles F. KING, Sr.  The ministrations of the Rev. Martin O'TOOLE and the Rev. J. L. CONWAY, masses, floral tributes, expressions of sympathy, spiritual comfort, cars loaned for the funeral, and the aid of the pall bearers as well as all those who assisted at the funeral will be remembered with gratitude. - Wife and Children.
