Transcript of the Obituaries from The Observer newspaper, Washington Co., Pa., May 15, 1913, [page 9 ?]:

[BLANCHARD ?] [H ?] FORSYTHE - Pittsburg [sic], May [13 ? 15 ?] - [looks like Blanchard ?] [H. ?] Forsythe, aged [87 ? 57 ? 37 ?], is dead in the National Military home in [Marten ?], Ind. Forsythe was a member of Company A, Tenth Regiment, National Guard of Pennsylvania, known as the 'Fighting Tenth,' and served through the Spanish-American war [sic, no capitalization]. He leaves his widow, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Forsythe, of New England, one brother and one sister.

SHERMAN C. EALY - Sherman C. Ealy died at 11 a. m. yesterday at the home of his father, near Old Concord. The cause of his death was [organic ?] heart trouble. He was the son of Henry D. Ealy, and his mother and one sister, [Cora ?] survive. The funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 o'clock, the funeral party to meet at the home, the services to be held in the Fairmount church at 11:30 in charge of the Rev. Mr. Kapp. Interment will be in the Fairmount cemetery.

MRS. EMALINE FREDERICK - Beallsville, May 15 - After an illness of only two days, Mrs. Emaline Frederick, aged 79 years, a well known resident of this place, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Boothe, of Bentleyville. Her death was the result of a stroke of paralysis she suffered Sunday. Mrs. Frederick had been visiting at the home of her daughter for several days when she was stricken. Mrs. Frederick was a daughter of Isaac and Sarah Morgan Cox, and was born near Washington. She spent the greater portion of her life near here, however, and had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of this place since childhood. She was united in marriage with George Frederick, whose death occurred about [22 ?] years ago. Five of the six children born to the union survive. They follow: Joseph Frederick, of near Bentleyville; Edward Frederick and Mrs. H. H. Dawson of this place; Newton Frederick of near Deemston; and Mrs. George Boothe, of Bentleyville, at whose home her death occurred. The body was brought to Beallsville last evening and taken to the home of the daughter, Mrs. H. H. Dawson. Friends and relatives will meet at the Dawson home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and go to the Methodist Episcopal church where the funeral services will be held in charge of the Rev. John W. King. The interment will be in the Beallsville cemetery.

WESLEY GOSLIN - California, May 15 - The death of Wesley Goslin, aed [84 ?], occurred yesterday evening at his home in East Pike Run township adjoining California borough. He had been a lifelong resident of this section. He is survived by his wife and a foster ... [rest cut off on this Xerox copy].
