Transcript of the Obituary for MRS. JANE ARMSTRONG from The Reporter newspaper, Feb. 24, 1822, page unknown:

DIED - On Sunday, the 16th inst., Mrs. Jane Armstrong, of Chartiers township in the 81st year of her age. The complaint which brought the mortal __brick of the deceased down, was a cancer on the face; under which she labored more than twenty years.

The departed, in life was kind, benevolent; her hand was ever open to the needy and distressed; a constant and welcome guest of the places of mourning. She was universally esteemed by all who knew her. Lived and died in hope of a blessed immortality. In her almost unparalleled sufferings she was calm -- her fortitude never failed. Not long before her death she was told that her sufferings were severe, to which she properly replied, ____ I have no reason to complain. [Com.

On the 3rd instant, Mrs. Catherine Hewitt, wife of Mr. Henry Hewitt, of Amwell township. She left a husband and 4 children to mourn the bereavement of a good wife and a tender parent.

On Tuesday night last, about 12 o'clock, Mrs. ANN MOORE, wife of James Moore, of West Bethlehem township, after a tedious illness of 3 months. Aged 18 years.

Article from The Reporter newspaper, Washington Co., Pa., Mar. 10, 1822, page unknown: 

[NOTE: In this newspaper and date, no capitalization was used on Miss or Mr. The deceased and parents names are all in caps.]

DIED - At Louisville (Ken.) on Thursday the 20th February ult. mr. Samuel Bryson, aged 27 years, eldest son of mr. Patrick Bryson, of this place. His death was of a pulmonary complaint growing out of exposure to severe colds.

The meloncholy tidings of his death was announced a few days ago to his parents, in a letter from an acquaintance in Louisville. The letter concludes thus - 'Before his death he seemed perfectly resigned and happy, and said that he had nothing to communicate, as we were all strangers to him.

Suddenly, on Saturday morning the 1st instant, in West Alexander, mr. Charles Mayes, senior, in the 77th year of his age. The deceased was a kind indulgent parent, a good neighbor, and a truly honest and sincere christian [sic].

On Thursday last, mr. David Horn, of Somerset township. His complaint was a pleurisy, of which he lay about ten days.
