To Answer Charge Of Not Offering Aid
Mrs. LILLIAN EVANS of Pittsburgh appeared before Alderman R. L. ELLWOOD of Monongahela yesterday morning and furnished bail for a hearing next week Tuesday evening between the hours of 7 and 8 o'clock, when she will answer to a charge of violating the State Automobile law.
The charge was preferred by Mrs. ANNE LONYGEL, a resident of Park ave, Monongahela, a daughter of Mrs. PAUL KOBASS, aged 67 years, who lives at Frye Station, and who is in the Memorial hospital at Monongahela suffering from injuries said to have been inflicted when she was struck by the automobile driven by Mrs. EVANS. The accident occurred on last Monday afternoon.
Mrs. EVANS is charged with refusing to give assistance after the accident. When the information was read to her she demanded a hearing. After the time was set she was released on $1,000 bail. |
