Personally appeared before me, Wm. L. Sidler, Register for the Probate of Wills and granting
Letters of Administration, in and for said County Ella P. West who being duly sworn according
to law, doth depose and say that John C. Patterson late of Danville in said County, deceased,
died at Danville, Penna. on, or about Wednesday the 30 " day of Nov A.D. 1910 at 1020
o'clock P.M. of said day to the best of her knowledge and belief.

of Executrix and AFFIDAVIT OF PROOF OF DEATH OF DECEDENT.

I, John C. Patterson, of Danville, County of Montour and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound
mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this, my last will and Testament,
hereby revoking and making void all former Wills by me at any time heretofore are made.
Item: Thereby authorize my executrix hereafter named to pay all my just debts and obligations
whatsever and funeral expenses that may exist against me at my decease. That I be buried
according to my situation in life, and a monument be erected on the cemetery lot.
Item: I give and desire two hundred dollars and my gold watch and chain to John Patterson
West, my grandson which shall be given to him immediately after my death out of any property
real personal and mixed by my executrix--
All the real, residue and remainder of my estate real personal and mixed, I give devise and
bequeath unto my executrix hereafter named and she may convert the same unto money and
for that purpose I hereby authorize and direct my executrix hereafter named to sell all my
property at either public or private sale as she may deem best and I do make and devise such
deed or deeds as may be necessary convey the title to the purchaser or purchasers thereof in
fee simple.
Item: The one half of the undivided half part thereof shall be invested and the income thereof
shall as the same be gotten in, be paid to my daughter Magie Patterson and shall not be
subject to assignment nor attachment nor shall the income thereof be subject to any order
whatsoever by the said Magie; it being understood that the money shall be paid to her
personally in cash or by check as my executrix may deem best and I further direct my said
executrix copay to the said Magie Patterson, as much of the principal of my said estate if she
should think it necessary, such descretions be left wholly with my executrix Ella P. west or her
heirs may think best.
My executrix hereafter named is to be sole owner and Judge of my said property and for that
purpose I give devise and bequeath all my property real personal and mixed unto Ella P. West,
wife of William Kase west, to her heirs and assignees person, desiring that she carry out the
conditions of this will as I fully intend.
I further hereby appoint my daughter Ella P. West, Trustee for my daughter Magie, without
bond.
This will was hand-written. What follows is a fill in the blanks.
I do hereby make constitute and appoint Ella P. West my daughter to be executrix of this my
last will and testament as trustee.>br>
In Witness Whereof, I, John C. Patterson, the Testator above named, have hereunto
subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the twenty-third day of June in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and eight. Signed John C. Patterson
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named John C. Patterson as and for his
last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names at his

Personally appeared before me, Wm L Sidler, Register for the probate of Wills and granting of
Letters of Administration, in and for said County, David L Watts who being duly sworn
according to law, doth depose and say that Jane Patterson, late of Washingtonville, said
County, deceased died at Washingtonville, on or about Sunday the third day of December A.D.
1893, at 3-30 o'clock A.M. of said day, to the best of his knowledge and belief.
Sworn and subscribed before me this 14th day of Dec A.D. 1893.

This will was totally hand-written
March 3rd 1892
This is my last will and testament. That after my funeral expenses are paid and the cost of
tombstones to be put up. The later not to cost over one hundred dollars ($100.00) I think it best
that the farm be sold (inserted between lines The time of sale to be left to the discretion of the
heirs.) and the proceeds be divided between my brother Robert of Tonti Illinois the one half
and my brother Matthews children John H Patterson of Lombard Illinois and Mrs. Sarah W Hill
of Freeport Illinois the other half. The two hundred dollars Bond on Northern pacific Rail Road
to be divided equally with the other proceeds of the Estate. David Watt to be Executor.
