Read obituary of her husband, William Jones

  Nancy McDowall Jones

Mrs. Nancy A. Jones, widow of William Jones, passed away Wednesday morning at the old family home in West Middlesex, aged 69 years. Mrs. Jones lived in Greenville many years of her married life and her living sympathetic character endeared her to all. She has been a great sufferer for more than 9 years. Through all her afflictions she never lost her trust in her heavenly father. Her long time friend and family physician says: "I have known Mrs. Jones for 37 years and have always felt that she was a pure noble Christian, who's life corresponded with her profession. She was my highest ideal of what a Christian should be. I have lost one of my best friends I ever had." This expresses about the opinion of all who knew her, so highly was she regarded and loved, and her sweetness of spirit and marvelous patience will ever be a priceless heritage to her dear ones.

The Children surviving are Mrs. J. K. Burnett, Allen Jones, Arthur D. Jones of Pittsburg, J Fred Jones, Jamestown, New York, W. Henry Jones, New York City, C. Watson Jones, Mrs. H. B. Reed of Chicago and Nannie C. Jones at home; also one sister, Mrs. Maria Hum of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday at the home. Interment in West Middlesex Cemetary.
