  Mary Rainey Bowen 

MRS. EVAN R. BOWEN; Mrs. Mary Bowen, 1203 North River Avenue, Toronto, Ohio, formerly of 400 Baldwin Avenue, Sharon, Pa, widow of Evan Reese Bowen, died at 3:30 a.m. today at Ohio Valley Hospital, Steubenville, Ohio. Mrs. Bowen, who was 88, had been a patient for three days after being strickened with a cerebral hemorrage. She was born in Partick County (Glasgow), Scotland, December 18, 1878, the daughter of Andrew and Isabella Rennie (Rainey). She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Farrell. Mrs. Bowen had lived for two years in Toronto, Ohio where she made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Maude E. Davis. Previously she had lived 28 years in Sharon, Pennsylvania and prior to that 35 years in Farrell, Pa. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Davis, Toronto; a son Elmer Bowen, Boardman, Ohio; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Harry C. Tennant Funeral Home 1243 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, with Rev. Dr. Charles R. Cheeks, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Family will meet friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
