Nisbet
Nisbet is an unincorporated community in Susquehanna Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was named for John Nisbet, an early settler of Williamsport, who applied for a tract of land in 1769. History of Lycoming county, Pennsylvania, Thomas W. Lloyd 1929, Chapter XVIII Page 244 There is one postoffice, at Nisbet, established November 23, 1867, and the first postmaster was James Gibson. The schools are of an excellent character, and there is one church in the township, located at Nisbet. |
