Huntersville
Huntersville is a populated place located within the Township of Mill Creek, a minor civil division (MCD) of Lycoming County. History of Lycoming county, Pennsylvania, Thomas W. Lloyd 1929, Chapter IX Page 128 &209 One of the most important of those* built at this time was what was known as the Genesee Road. It started at Muncy and ran thence by Huntersville and Highland Lake and on to Towanda Creek, where it intersected another road leading up the North Branch of the Susquehanna. *Huntersville is on the Genesse Road. The only village* is Huntersville which is also the name of the postoffice which was established June 25, 1853 with Robert G. Webster as its first postmaster. * The village of Huntersville is in Wolf Township. |
