Hello,
I have an obit for Wm.J.KUHN who died 18 Mar 1897. It states "interment being made at the Catholic Cemetery at Lebanon". After some research, I think the cemetery may have been St. Mary's. Am I correct that this is the oldest RC Church in Lebanon? A 1923 Directory lists the cemetery at Chestnut cor. 2nd. This seems to correspond to a current listing I found. Can you please tell me if there is a transcription available for this cemetery and if the cemetery is very large.
I really appreciate the help. I have been searching for my great uncle for the last few years and I think I am on to something .
Thank you, Anne

I would like to have a good history of Lebanon County from 1780-1850. I am interested in Jonestown and East Hanover Twp. I have seen references to them together; was Jonestown at one time part of East hanover (instead of Swartara as it is now)? Was Jonestown at the time primarily farming? My g-grandfather was supposedly a shoemaker but lived in Jonestown -- so where did he sell his boots? Was there perhaps a major epidemic in the late 1830's?
I would like to write a narrative history of my g-grandfather but I am having difficulty finding anything of historical value concerning the area in the late 18th-early 19th century. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.'

Since I posted the last message, I've discovered more of my family... Christian Sechrist born 1848 in Annville and moved to Heidelberg.. Millcreek twp. I'm fairly certain his father was Jonathan or Jonas Sechrist ; whose parents were Henry & Hannah Sechrist...who owned a Hotel, I think in Annville or LEbanon... Henry was born in 1800 & died in 1874. His father could have been Solomon and Christina Sechrist... His parents : Lorentz.. Back to Bartholomew and Bartholomeus Segrist- Seigrist- Sechrist, who came over from France on the James Goodwill passenger ship.
I found a family Biography of Bartholomeus Segrist but unfortunately mine was destroyed and am unable to find the site, again... If anyone either knows the site I'm searching for, or has any information that can help me at all in my search, I would greatly appreciate it...

I am looking for any information on Susanna Miller b. June 14, 1816 Lancaster Co, Pa.. Before being married she lived in Schafferstown, Pa. I am not sure if the town was considered Lanc. Co. On Dec. 9, 1838 (Jackson Twp, Lebanon, Pa) she married Isaac Spang (my ggggrandfather) b. 1816. From this union came one son Isaac Spang b. 1839. Some time between the years 1839-1844 she married Absalom Gockley and had two more children: Levi and Leah. In 1850 Census they lived in Heidleburg Twp, Lebanon Co. Pa. I am trying to find out who her parents were and also trying to connect my ggggrandfather as being her husband and their getting a divorce. In 1844 Isaac is married to Lydia Daub. I have checked their marriage announcement for the parents names of both but found nothing. I need to find marriage papers with both of their parents name on it and also that there was a divorce. If anyone has information about these people I would really appreciate any help. It is the last part of the puzzle to 11 generations.

I am researching the family of:
Stanley Wenrich (9-22-1904) X Annie V Roth? (1906?)
Children:
Bessie DOB: Abt 1922
Helen DOB: Abt 1926
In 1930, Stanley & family lived in Pine Grove, Lebanon Cty, PA along with his sister in law, PEARL ROTH (18 yrs) and BETTY LOU SINTON (4months)
It is Pearl & Betty Lou who I have questions about. Pearl is my G-Great Grandmother, and she is listed as single in 1930 YET she later married Stanley Wenrich and had a child--BETTY LOU (born in Dec 1929) and I am thinking Betty is not Stanley's child as my family has been told...the census and different names and dates prove otherwise.
Anyone with information on how or where to obtain birth records in Pine Grove, or with any information on anyone listed here...please email me.

I am trying to find information regarding the parents and siblings of Joseph STILL b. Aug 22, 1834 in the Annville, PA area. He married Amelia TROXELL b. Jul 14, 1842 around 1861. The 1860 census shows a Joseph STILL age 23 as a laboror living with a young family. A John STILL age 52 as a servant living with a merchant. A Polly STILL age 42 and Sarah STILL age 20 living with a young family. A Mary Still age 12 living with yet another family. I have recently found a document that leads me to believe Joseph's fathers name is John. I am thinking these individuals may be a family that was separated due to finances. I would be interested in any information that would link the family together or would allow me to go back farther on this line.

I have established a SAYLOR DNA project at FamilyTreeDNA.
Participation in the project provides a testing discount.
The PRIMARY purpose is to validate a connection between the early Pennsylvania SAYLOR/SAYLER/SEILER families as suggested by the research of Richard Warren Davis. If validated through DNA testing this would connect the large families researched of Samuel J. Saylor (central PA) and Dr. E. C. Saylor (western PA).
The SECONDARY purpose is to bring together other SAYLOR/SAYLER/SEILER families and to complement the genealogical paper trail.
Testing is simple – requiring only a cotton swab of saliva from the mouth. Because the Y-chromosome DNA is passed from father to son virtually unchanged for hundreds of generations, the testing will focus on males with the SAYLOR/SAYLER/SEILER surname. Interested females are not excluded; but, must have a brother, father or male cousin submit a test.
You will find additional information on the following web page:

Where exactly, in what cemetary is
Franklin Stichler 1859-1879 of the "Blue-Eyed Six" buried. I was under the assumption burial was @ the Moonshine Church, but he's not included in the list provided. Another website lists the burial site as "family plot a short distance from St. Jospeh's Spring,"
another, @ Indiantown Gap, Lebanon, PA. Please clarify.

According to the Eyerly Family History 17-14-1972, Jacob Eier (Eyerly) died in Lebanon, PA on April 18, 1823. I have searched the cemetary listings on the Web, but I've had no luck finding any record of his burial site. I assume he would have been buried in or near Lebanon. I'd appreciate any information that could be given.

Wallace's 1966 History of Lebanon Valley College is supposed to have a picture on page 74 of Rev. Isaiah W. SNEATH. I am wondering if someone has the book and would scan a copy of his picture to me. I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Selma
