My grandmother was Florence Irene Bowman dob: August 24, 1892....she was the daughter of Allen and Ida Applena (Ramsey) Bowman of the Myerstown area. When she was 16, she married Thomas Getz (my guess is that he was around 16-18 years old too)and they had several children, although only 3 survived infancy: Lillian born 6-6-1912; Fred born 4-1918; and Dorothy 10-29-1920. Thomas (according to stories that I heard as a child) worked for some type of mill and accidently stepped on or fell on to a "live" electrical wire (apparently at that time they were not covered like today) and was electrocuted. This would have been around 1919 or 1920. Does anyone have any info on this event? I heard that it happened around Christmas time, but that story could be wrong. They lived in Lebanon County at the time this happened. My grandmother would have been 27 or 28 at the time. Any info on this would help---any info on this family would be good too. Thanks!!

My grandfather, Morris Boltz Koons was born in Lebanon County in 1881. His three step brothers also had the middle name of Boltz. The 1860 and 1870 Lebanon County Census' both show 40+ Boltz families. "Family Lore" says his parents were Simeon and Christina (no maiden name yet) Koons, Simeon born 1850. No proof yet. Simeon's parents are reported as John and Diana Boltz Koons. Some of these people may be buried in Ebenezer Cemetary.I am looking for information on both the Koons and Boltz families.Question: Does Lebanon County have a listing of all (as many as practical) burials? If so, what library would it be in? (I will be in the area this Spring (2003) and can do somelooking. Thanks in advance.Jim PendletonErie PA.

SELLERS/WATSON Family Mary Ann SELLERS was born in Annville, Lebanon County, PA, 7 Mar 1816. She died 6 Mar 1882 in Clearfield County. Her father was Joseph SELLERS, b. 23 Feb1784 d. abt 1852. Her mother, Mary Ann CLEAVER was born in Friendly, Tyler County, WV. I think they had eleven children. Joseph and Mary Ann Sellers are in the 1810 Lebanon census.
Joseph WATSON and Mary Ann SELLERS were married in 1835, possibly in the Stormstown area of Centre County (SW corner). I know her family was in this community prior to 1935. Joseph and Mary Ann's first child was born in Milesburg, Centrre Co (NE corner) but I cannot find record of their marriage in Centre County. Looks like another eleven children.
I can track the SELLERS line back to the immigrants who came to Chester County, PA with the Quaker immigration in late 1600's early 1700's, but don't have much about their time in Lebanon County. Ancestral information on Joseph Watson is my dead end. Any Lebanon Co Watson information appreciated!
Willing to trade/share info. Any help appreciated.

In 1795, James Young married Rebecca Steel in Lebanon County. I know, there was no Lebanon County then! So I assume it was in what is now Lebanon. Does anyone know anything about these two? I am researching a James Young and wife, Rebecca, who ended up in Clark County, Kentucky, and had twelve children. My effort now is to find from whence they came before Clark County. Bill

I have been searching for the parents of Thomas Rannals. He was born in Pittsburg, Pa (according to death record on file at Maquoketa, Jackson Co., Iowa Courthouse) or Niles, Ohio (according to his 1928 obituary from the same courthouse). He was left with John and Eliza (Campbell) Waddle in Ohio, where, through oral family history, his parents left him with the Waddles while they went to Iowa by wagon, when Thomas was 18 months old. It is said that they died from influenza either enroute to Iowa or after there awhile. In 1857, the Waddles moved to Jackson Co., Iowa, with Thomas. Today, I found a John Rannals b. 14 Sept 1808 p: Lebanon, Lebanon County, Pa and was part of the Saleem Evang Luth Ch. It states that his father was Thomas Rannals. Then, there is also a James Rannals, Christening: Oct 1801, same place, same father.
Now, my G-Grandfather Thomas, who married Adelia Anna "Annie" Barkely, dau of Henry Barkley and Elizabeth (Simons), both of New York, amongst their children were; John, James, George, Loren, Nettie Eliza *my link), Nora and Elizabeth, whom they called "Babe". Coincidence? I think not. SO...anyone know of this RANNALS family, please contact me.
Thanks,

I'm trying to flesh out an LDS baptismal reference for Elizabeth Schneider, dated December 17, 1798, for a church in Fredericksburg, Lebanon Co., PA. The father listed is J. george Schneider. What is the source of the reference? Are both parents listed in the original, as well as the sponsors?
This Elizabeth Schneider is believed to be the eldest child of Johann Georg Schneider and Maria Barbara Kochendorfer, both of Berks Co., PA, and married there in July 1795. Fredericksburg is reasonably close to Bethel and Tulpehocken Twps., Berks Co., which were homes for the Schneider and Kochendorfer families. Does one of Rev. Weiser's books cover the Fredericksburg church? And, is this record a pastor's duplication of another church record?
The George and Barbara Schneider/Snyder/Snider family removed to Bedford Co., PA, ca. 1803/4.
