I have traced my ancestry to Michael Baker who purchased land in White Deer Township, Northumberland County (now part of Union County) in 1809. He bought the land from John and Catherine Baker of Heidelberg Township, Dauphin County which now may be part of Lebanon County. Michael signed the courthouse documents as Michael Becker. A biography of one of Michael's sons states that Michael's wife was Sarah Wolfensberger. Ages on census documents show Michael and Sarah would have been born between 1760 and 1770. The 1850 Union County census lists Sarah as 83 years old and birthplace as Virginia. I would appreciate any information about Lebanon County Baker or Becker families and I am willing to exchange information about Michael and Sarah's descendents.

QUERY: Re DATE OF BIRTH for ELIAS BEHNEY (1817-1896) of Union Twp, Lebanon Co. Employee of Union Forge and occupant of company housing near Swatara Creek in what is now Lickdale.
Burial record for Walmers Cemetery (found in PA State Archives, 1990) lists birth date as 7 July 1817, but death date (9 Sept 1896) and age at death (79 yrs, 0 mos, 24 days) calculate to a birth date of 15 August 1817. Does anyone have copies of the Walmer’s records? Did I make an error in transcription?
I have been unable to locate the graves of Elias and his family at Walmers although about a dozen burials are recorded in the Walmer’s Cemetery Record at the State Archives. Does anyone have any idea how these graves might be located? [I have located several other Behney graves (Alfred, Adam, Wendell, Sarah nee Bordlemay) in the cemetery on the north side of the road across from the church, but not Elias or his wife Sarah (Sally).]
Alice Spayd kindly provided the following from a typed, translation of the Parish Register of Zion Ev Luth Ch, Johnstown – baptism: Elias Bene; birth date, 4 Aug 1817; bpt., 5 Feb 1818. Parents: Abraham and Molly Bene. [NOTE: I have no proof that the Zion record refers to the same Elias. It is certain that there were others by the name of Elias Behney about this time.] Does any one have access to the original German record of Zion?

Records of the Zoar Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lebanon (through IGI rcords)show a Jacob Finkle, born 1809, son of Johannes. Sure enough, a John Finkle (or Finckel) appears in the 1830 and 1820 census records in Lebanon County, Bethel Twp. He would have been born 1870-75. I would like to find others interested in this Finkle family. Interestingly, my family oral tradition says that Jacob's wife was a Clymer, related to George Clymer, the Signer. My research from George forward says that can't be true, but I can't confirm by research on Jacob (or his wife Catherine), found in Centre County from 1840 to 1860, then Mifflin County. If anyone can shed any light on the Finkle or CLYMER/CLEMMER connections, I would be appreciative. The 1920 Pennsylvania census indicates that Lincoln BOLTONand his wife, Bessie (maiden name BODENHORN), were living at 314 E Main Street in Annville. Date of marriage is June 18, 1912. This census also lists a stepson - Rodney P. Kreider, age 17. Lincoln out lived Bessie, who is buried in the Mount Annville Cemetary. Lincoln who died in approximately 1947 (?) is also buried there. Lincoln was manager of the Annville Auto Company in 1908. Records indicate he was the proprietor of a garage and service station, but it is not known whether that was the Annville Auto Company or not.ANYTHING would be appreciated. If someone is close to the Mount Annville Cemetary and could either send methe headstone inscriptions of pictures I'd be grateful. Thank you! I am looking for information on Samuel Fox . My 5g

EVANS Family
According to my (possibly inaccurate) records, William Evans was born in 1862 and died in 1927. I have him as marrying a Suzan/Susan/Suzanna DEMMY (could be DENNY or something similar), and they had six children together between 1881 and 1898.
I don't have anything on their ancestry. Also, I'm confused because our source (my wife's elderly grandmother who is a grandchild of this couple) lists his wife as being born in 1868. With a daughter born in 1881, this seems suspect.
As I said, I think this couple has roots in Lebanon County, but I'm not 100% sure. Any detailed information would be greatly appreciated.

SPAHN Family
He was married to Nora Ellen Cartey 8/11/1911 and were divorced sometime around the late 1940's. My mother-in-law name was Nancy Louise Spahn (Mumm) she was born 6/27/1916 and passed away 10/13/1959 due to cancer, she had two sisters Joyce Harriet Spahn & Anna Christine Spahn (Smith).
If anyone knows of William Henry Spahn, please contact us, I (Tom Mumm) would like to know somethings about my grandpa, because of the fact that my mother passed away when I was almost five, and my grandma and aunts refused to talk about him.
Thank you.

FERRY Family
Family lore indicates that John B was born in Pennsylvania and we are sure that he was a blacksmith in Fontana for a period of time and was a farmer at the time of his death in the Palmyra area.
We also know that John B. was a member of Company D of the 48th PA Emergency Troups. He is buried in the Mt Palmyra Cemetery, but his parents apparently are not.
Thanks in advance for any leads anyone can give me

WEISER, BASHORE, FEG, FAKE, and ERFORD Families
1st question: Lebanon Co. was formed in 1813. What county was the city or township of 'Lebanon' in prior to 1813, Dauphin or Lancaster?
2nd question: A Boeshore/Bashore site I recently saw says that the Dauphin Co. branch came from one fella, Mathias Bashir, and the Lancaster branch came from John Jacob Boeshore, cousins whose descendant main lines both wound up in Tulpehocken ca 1730. If they both wound up in one particular place, what is the basis for saying that the two families separated again? How far is Lebanon city from Tulpehocken?
3rd, does anyone have a reference for the marriages in Lebanon city ca 1812 that shows parents or bondsmen names?
Thanks in advance,
Paul in Buffalo
