I am researching the family of Mitchell GILMORE born at sea 10 DEC 1793 of Irish Parentage, d.06 OCT 1876. He was married to Lydia JOHNSON, born at Cumberland Co., Penn. I need the marriage date for these two. They had the following children, Nancy born?, John b.23NOV1816, William M. b.17 JAN 1825, Eliza Jane b. 17 JUN 1827 m.1850 to John HEFFELFINGER b. 26 FEB 1823 Cumberland Co., Penn. Mitchel GILMORE served as a teamster during the war of 1812, bringing government stores to the troops. He and his family lived in the Cumberland Co. area since they came to this country. They moved to Hardin County, Ohio about 1850. Would be curious to know if they are in the 1850 Penn. Census, since they are not listed in Ohio. Interested in cemetery, birth, death, marriage records on GILMORE, JOHNSON and HEFFELFINGER families. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks http://www.kenton.com/users/chuck/index.htm

Date: 11 Sep 1997 From: Laura Tuttle Searching: MUTH, WEAVER/WEBER
I have traced one line of my ancestry back to my 3rd great grandparent's George MUTH (b. 1798 in Germany) and Sarah WEAVER/WEBER (b. abt 1803 in PA). My grandfather wrote in his Bible that her name was "Weaver" but pronounced "We'ver". He stated that she was of Pennsylvania Dutch background. I am trying to find a marriage record of some kind for them, plus find the names of her parents. It would also be nice to learn about collateral family. Also, George eventually became a minister for the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. Their historical literature about him states that he married "Sarah Weber", but then the death certificate for one of their daughters (my 2nd great grandmother) shows her mother's name as being "Sarah Weaver". According to the US census, Sarah's father was from Pennsylvania and her mother was from Ireland. She and George Muth married in Adams Co., PA on or about 2 June 1822. (The inscription on her tombstone gives the years, months and days they were married at the time of her death.) According to the literature of the United Brethren in Christ, George and Sarah lived in Adams, York, and Cumberland counties, PA before moving to Butler Co., Ohio. Subsequent to that, they moved to Shelby Co., IN and then in 1840 bought a quarter section of land in Hancock Co., IN where they lived the rest of their days and are both buried there. They had 13 children, some of which were Adeline, William, Daniel, Henry, Caroline, Augustus, David and Elizabeth.
