CRICK, GUTHART, HAMMER, KRICK, SEITZINGER, STOUDEN, WAGNER, WAGONER posted by David Tice on Tuesday, February 15, 2000

We haven't been able to connect our Adam CRICK (b. abt. 1787)married to Mary HAMMER to any of the Berks Co. Kricks. We did some will reading on the Kricks of Berks Co. last year, and made a Krick Theory File. We hope some of this is of use to you.

You list Catherine Krick as the d/o George Krick and Catherine WAGNER. We have George Krick marrying Catherina Wagner Oct 27, 1791 at the Schwartzwald Reformed Church. Parents of Catherina are Isaac WAGONER and Catherina Elizabeth GUTHART. George is the s/o George Krick (b. May 8, 1737, d. Sep 9, 1825) and Anna Marie SEITZINGER. George (1737-1825) is the s/o Frantz Krick (b. Oct 1702, d. Apr 21, 1784) and Anna Catherine STOUDEN (b. abt 1706). They married Apr 4, 1758 in Cumru Twp, Berks Co., PA. Frantz Krick was born in Rheim Pfalz, Germany, and Anna Catherine was born in Hershweiler, Germany. Both died in Sinking Spring, Berks Co., PA.

ALBRIGHT, COPE, MOOK, MUCK posted by Vern Erickson on Tuesday, February 15, 2000

I have an ancestor, Elizabeth, who married a Jacob Albright after the death of her first husband (Johannes Mook or Muck in 1784 in present day Union Co., PA). For that reason I have been collecting information on Jacob Albrights. I do not think the Jacob Albright you referenced in your query was a founder of the Albright Church (later Evangelical Association, later still, United Methodist Church). In "Dictionary of National Biography" it says:
"Albright, Jacob (May 1, 1759-Mary 18, 1808), religious leader, was the son of Johann Albrecht and his wife, German immigrants who had settled near Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pa., where Jacob was born. They were Lutherans, and he was baptized, and later confirmed, in the Lutheran Church. He had but little education, and for a number of years followed his father's calling of brick-and-tile maker. When he was twenty he married one Catherine Cope and moved to Lancaster County . . . "
There were quite a number of Albright families in present day Union Co./Snyder Co., PA in the late 1700s and early 1800s.
Good luck.

KOHMAN posted by Jacque Kutz on Tuesday, February 15, 2000

I just started trying to find my paternal grandfather's family tree. One of my uncle's gave me a small tree that a cousin of theirs had done. It only goes back to my great grandfather. He was Thomas Kohman, born in 1856. He married a girl by the name of Mary Hauwiller, b 1860 in Madison Township, PA. This probably is no help to you, but I thought, what the heck. I have been looking in the Immigrant Ship records and cannot find anything on these people. I keep telling my dad that his family must have been in trouble with the law and changed their name! Good luck in your search.

BICKEL, PICKEL posted by Karen Venable on Tuesday, February 15, 2000

I am trying to find data about the PICKEL or BICKEL family living in the area before 1800. Georg Felte PICKEL arrived in this country aboard the ship Mary in 1732. Information I have is that one known son was Heinrich (Henry) Pickel.
