Basketball Team - Click to enlarge photo. The students of G. C. H. S. owe many thanks to Joe Hartman and also "Art" McBride for their efforts in turning out a basketball team. With but very few of last year's men left, the outlook for a good season was not very bright. Under this handicap the coaches went to work and before the season was very old they had turned out a winning combination. Then through sickness and exams we lost two valuable men, [Kenneth] Dunn and Smith. Even with this handicap the coaches did not give up but tried all the harder. Though G. C. was beaten several times it is to be understood that they went down fighting. The prospects for next year [1927] are very bright. The letter men of this year were Keck, [Paul] Campbell, Smith, D. [Duane] Murray, [Kenneth] Dunn and [Thomas] Mulqueen, while the new material was [Thomas] Faulls, [Edward] Hummel, J. [John] Murray, [Ralph] Negri, [John] Gilson, [Clifford] Bohlander, and [Robert] Montgomery. Center [Paul] Campbell (Capt.) Forward J. [John] Murray Forward [Robert] Montgomery Guard Keck Guard D.
