THIS INDENTURE made the eight day of May in the year of our Lord One
thousand Seven hundred & Sixty Six Between John Dunlap of the township of
Westpensborrough in the County of Cumberland & Province of Pennsylvania
yeoman of the one part and Thomas Finley of the Township County & Province
aforesaid yeoman of the other part WITNESSETH that the said John Dunlap for
& in Consideration of the sum of five hundred pounds of good and Lawfull
Money of the Province of Pennsylvania to him in hand paid by the said Thomas
Findley the receipt whereof the said John Dunlap doth hereby Confess &
Acknowledge & for divers other good Causes & Considerations him thereunto
Moving he the said John Dunlap hath Granted Bargained & Sold aliened and
Confirmed & by these presents doth fully freely & adsolutely grant Bargain
and Sell alien & Confirm unto the said Thomas Finley & his heirs & Assigns
forever all that Tract of Land & Improvement situate lying & being in the
Township of Westpensborrough in Cumberland County & Province aforesaid
adjoining Samuel Brice on the West Northerly & James Weakly on the North
Easterly & Michael Barkl(?) on the South Westerly Containing by Estimation
one hundred acres be the same more or less Together with all the
Improvements & the fulling(?) Mill and all the Rights Members and
Appurtenances thereof and all the houses Edifices Buildings Gardens Orchard
Land Meadow Commons pastures Trees wood underwood ways path Waters water
Courses Easements profits Commodities Advantages Emoluments & Hereditaments
whatsoever to the said Improvement & Described Premisses Belonging or in any
wise Appertaining & the Rents Issues & profits thereof and also all the
Estate Right Title Interest use possession property Claim & Demand
Whatsoever of him the said John Dunlap either in law or Equity of otherwise
howsoever of into or out of all & Singular the hereby Granted Premisses TO
HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid Land & Premisses hereby Granted Bargained &
Sold or Mentioned or Intended so to be with the Appurtenances (?) the
said Thomas Finley his heirs & Assigns forever more(?) the yearly Quit Rent
on or Accruing for the hereby Granted premisses to the Lord or Lords of the
fee thereof and the said John Dunlap doth Covenant for himself & his heirs
that he and his heirs the aforesaid Improvement & Premisses hereby Granted
or mentiond to be Granted with the Appurtenances unto the said Thomas Finley
his heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and Behoof of the said Thomas
Finley his heirs & Assigns forever & also that he the said Thomas Finley his
heirs & Assigns shall and may at all Times forever hereafter peaceable &
Quietly have hold occupy possess and enjoy all and singular the said
Improvements & Land hereditiments and Premisses above Mentioned with the
Appurtenance without the (?) Trouble hinderance Malestation Interruption
& Denial of him the said John Dunlap his heirs or Assigns & of all and every
other person or persons whatsoever & the said John Dunlap for himself his
heirs & against all and every other person and persons lawfully Claiming or
to Claim by from or under him them or any of them shall and will Warrant &
forever defend by these presents and further that he the said John Dunlap &
his heirs and all and every person & persons and his & their heirs amything
having or Claiming to the said Premisses above Mentioned or any part thereof
by from or under him Shall and will from time to time & at all Times
hereafter upon the Reasonable Request & at the Cost and Charges of the said
Thomas Finley his heirs & Assigns make do and Execute or Cause to be made
done & Executed all and every such further & other lawfull and Reasonable
Act & Acts thing and things device & devices Conveyance & Conveyances in the
Same Whatsoever for the further and more perfect Granting & Conveying of all
and Singular the said premisses above Mentioned with the Appurtenances unto
the said Thomas Finley his heirs & Assigns to the only proper use & behoof
of the said Thomas Finley his heirs & Assigns forever as by the said Thomas
Finley his heirs and Assigns or his or their Counsel learned in the Same be
Reasonably Devised or Revised(?) & Required for the Better Conveying of the
Premisses above mentioned unto the said Thomas Finley & for the only proper
use & behoof of the Said Thomas Finley his heirs & Assigns forever According
to the True Intent & meaning of the presents IN WITNESS Whereof the said
John Dunlap has hereunto Set his hand & Seal the Day & Year above Written
Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of us

for Said County Came the above Named John Dunlap and Acknowledged the above
Conveyance or Bill of Sale to be his Act & Deed and Allowed the same to be
