THIS INDENTURE made the fifth day of October in the year of our Lord One
thousand seven Hundred and Seventy four, BETWEEN Thomas Finley of the Town
of Carlisle in Cumberland County in the Province of Pennsylvania of the one
Part, and John Krever skin-dresser and Jacob Krever joiner(?) both of
Manchester township in York County in the Province aforesaid of the other
Part WITNESSETH that the said Thomas Finlay for in Consideration of the sum
of Seventy Nine Pounds Lawful Money of Pennsylvania to him in hand well &
truly Paid by the said John Krever and Jacob Krever at or before the
Execution hereof the Receipt & Payment whereof is hereby Acknowledged and
himself therewith fully Satisfied. He the said Thomas Finley HATH Granted,
Bargained, sold, Aliened Enscoffed, Released and Confirmed, and by these
Presents he doth Grant, Bargain, Sell, Alien, Enscoff, Release and Confirm
unto the said John Krever and Jacob Krever, and to their Heirs and Assigns
forever, a Certain Messuage House & Lot of Ground Situate on the South side
of Lowther Street and on the West side of Howe Street in the Town of
Carlisle in Cumberland County aforesaid Which Lot contains in Front on
Lowther Street aforesaid Sixty feet and two Hundred & forty feet deep
Bounded by Howe Street aforesaid to a Twenty feet Alley & Bounded on the
west by a Proprietaries Lot Numbered Three Hundred and two, and is Numbered
in the General Plan of said Town three Hundred and ten, which Lot was first
granted to a Certain James Killgore by a Ticket, which Lot said James
Killgore did grant and Convey unto Robert McCulley and to his Heirs and
assigns forever by a Certain Instrument of Writing Bearing date the Eight
day of June which was in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred
Sixty four, which to the said Robert McCulley and Elizabeth his wife did
grant and Convey unto the said Thomas Finley & to his Heirs and Assigns
forever by a Certain Indenture bearing date the twelfth day of June which
was in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy two.
Together also with all and singular the Buildings, Improvements, Houses,
out-Houses, Barns, Stables, Gardens, Fences, Wood, Waters, Watercourses,
Rights, Members, Priviledges, Advantages, Hereditaments and Premisses, with
the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the
Reversion and Reversions, Remainder & Remainders, Rents, Issues, and Profits
thereof, and all the Estate Right, Title, Interest, Property Claim and
Demand both at Law and in Equity of him the said Thomas Finley of, in, and
to the said House and Lot of Ground and every Part and Parcel thereof. TO
HAVE AND TO HOLD one full equal and undivided half Part of the aforesaid
Messuage, House, and Lot hereby Granted or meant or Intended to be granted
with the Appurtenances, to the only Proper use Benefit and Behoof of him the
Sd. John Krever and to his Heirs and Assigns FOREVER, Subject to and under
the Quit-rent due or that Shall become due to the Chief Lord or Lords of the
Fee thereof for the same. AND TO HAVE AND TO HOLD one full equal and
undivided half Part of the aforesaid Messuage, House, & Lot of Ground hereby
granted, or Meant, or Intended to be granted with the appurtenances To the
only Proper use Benefit and Behoof of him the said Jacob Krever and to his
Heirs and assigns forever, Subject to and under the quit rent due, or that
Shall become due to the Chief Lord or Lords of the fee, thereof for the
same. AND the said Thomas Finley for himself and for Heirs doth hereby
Covenant, Promise, Grant and agree to and with the aforesaid John Krever &
Jacob Krever and their and each of their Heirs and assigns by these Presents
that he the said Thomas Finley and his Heirs the above mentioned and
Described Messuage House and Lot of Ground with the appurtenances unto the
sd. John Krever & Jacob Krever and to their and Each of their Heirs and
Assigns from and Against himself and his Heirs, and from and Against all and
every other Person or Persons whomsoever Lawfully Claiming or that may Claim
the same or any Part thereof shall and will Warrant and forever defend by
these Presents the Honorable the Proprietaries of sd. Province for their
dues only Excepted IN WITNESS whereof the said Thomas Finley hath hereunto
set his Hand and affixed the seal the day and year first above Written

Cumberland County, Be it Remembered that on the Sixth day of October Anno
Domini 1774 Before me the Subscriber one of his Majesties Justices of the
Peace for the County aforsd. Came the within named Thomas Finley and
acknowledged the above Indenture to be his Act and Deed, and desired the
same to be Recorded as Such. In witness whereof I have hereto set my Hand
and Seal the day and year above Written. John Agnew

Recd. the day of the date of the within Indenture from the within-named John
Krever and Jacob Krever the sum of Seventy Nine Pounds it being the full
Consideration Money Within mentioned.
