KNOW all men by these Presents That we William West of the City of
Philadelphia Merchant and Mary West his wife and Abraham Usher of the said
City Merchant, for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds
lawful money of the province of Pennsylvania to us in hand paid by Thomas
Finney of Paxton Township and County of Lancaster Farmer, before the
Ensealing & Delivery (?) the receipt, whereof, we do hereby
acknowledge and from the same or any parts thereof do hereby fully exonerate
release and forever Discharge the said Thomas Finney his Heirs Executors,
Administrators and every of them, Have granted bargained and sold and by
these presents do grant, bargain, sell unto the said Thomas Finney, all our
right, Title, Interest, property, Claim and Demand whatsoever, of in and to
a certain Warranty for Two hundred acres of Land taken out of the Honourable
the Proprietaries Land office dated the fifth of June one Thousand Seven
hundred and sixty two, and the Survey and return made in pursuance thereof
dated the twentieth day of May one thousand seven hundred and sixty three,
which said survey Contains one hundred and fourteen acres and a half with
the usual allowance of six p Cent for roads, Including a part of Jacob
Peoples Improvements and adjoining Robert McWeston Situate in West
Pennsborough Township in the County of Cumberland, as by the said Warrant
and Survey & return beforrence(?) being had thereto may more fully appear,
To have and to hold the said one hundred and fourteen acres and an half with
the appurtenances unto the said Thomas Finney his Heirs Executors
Administrators or Assigns, to the only proper use and behoof of the said
Thomas Finney his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns forever under
and subject to the payments of the Consideration money and Quit rent due or
to become due to the Honourable the Propriataries their heirs or Successors
for the same & all other Taxes and Charges, whatsoever, and we do hereby for
ourselves our Heirs Executors & Administrators, Covenant promise and agree
to and with the said Thomas Finney his Heirs and Assigns that at all times
hereafter at the right and proper Charges in the Law of the said Thomas
Finney his Heirs and assigns, we will make do and Execute or cause or
procure(?) to be made done Executed, such further or other Conveyance for
the better and more effectual securing the said before mentd. premises to
the said Thomas Finney his Heirs Assigns such as, by him or his Council
Learned in the Law Shall be Reasonably advised devised or Required IN
WITNESS whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this eighth day of
April one Thousand seven hundred and seventy three

Personally appeared before me the subscriber one of his Majesties Justices
for the County of Cumberland the above named William West and Mary his wife
and Abraham Usher and acknowledged the above Instruments of Writing to be
their Joint & several act and Deed, and as such requested the same might be
recorded, the said Mary West being Secretly & apart examined and of full
age, did execute the same voluntarily without any menace or Compulsion for
her Husband In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the
twelfth day of April one Thousand Seven hundred and seventy three
