This Indenture made the twenty second day of April in the year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred & sixty three between John Kerr & James Kerr both
of the Township of Letterkenny in the County of Cumberland & Province of
Pensilvania of the one part & John Finley of the Township County & Province
aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Kerr & James Kerr
for & in consideration of the sum of two hundred & seventy seven pounds ten
shillings lawful money of Pennsylvania to them in hand paid by the said John
Finley the receipt whereof they the said John Kerr & James Kerr do hereby
acknowledge & thereof the said John Finley his Heirs & assigns do hereby
exonerate & discharge, have granted bargained sold assigned released &
confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell assign release &
confirm unto the said John Finly a certain Plantation or tract of land
situat lying & being in the Township of Letterkenny County & province
aforesaid containing by estimation five hundred & sixty acres be it moore or
less bounded by the lands of William Sharp, Samuel Culbertson, Jonah Ramage,
James Robison, James Irwin & James Fulton. Together with all & Singular the
rights members Improvements & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining, To have & to hold all & Singular the aforesaid Tract or
parcel of land hereby granted together with all the improvements &
appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the Said John Finly his Heirs &
assigns, & to the only proper use & behoof of him the Said John Finly his
Heirs & assigns forever Subject nevertheless to the yearly Quitrent or
ground rent hereafter growing, due to the law or lords of the fee thereof
but otherwise free & clear of & from all & every other incumberance or
incumberances whatsoever & subject also to all & singular the rents
reservations articles provisions conditions & arguments in & by two warrants
granted to the said John Kerr & James Kerr for the said premises, otherwise
due & payable to the Honorble proprietaries for the same. In witness
whereof the parties to these presents have Interchangable set their hands &
seals the day & year first above written.
