IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen I John Rippey of Cumberland County Yeoman Being very
old and Weak of body but of sound mind and memory and Calling to mind my
Mortality and that it is appointed for all men once to die I do make and
ordain this my last Will and Testament and first and Above all I Commit my
immortal Spirit who gave it and my body to the Earth to be buried in a
Decent and Christian like manner at the Discretion of my Excr. Firmly
believe in a General resurrection and reuniting of my Soul and body & the
life everlasting and as for what Worldly Goods has pleased to God to bless
me within this life that I leave give order dispose of Will & bequeath in
Manner following. That is Imprims I Allow that all my just debts and
funeral Charges be first Satisfied and paid out of my Moveable Goods & that
then by Way of Division I will and Bequeath to Mary my Dearly Beloved Wife
one full and Equal third part of all and Singular my Moveable Goods&
Chattles money & Credits as also the Benefit of my Plantation in Lurgan
Township while she lives unmarried and if married as long as the Children is
with her or untill my Excr shall see Just Cause to Remove them Item I will
and Bequeath to Margery Rippey my dearly Beloved Daughter one third Part of
the remaining two parts not willed yet or Bequeathed of all and Singular my
Moveable Goods & Chattles money and Credits Item I will and Bequeath Hugh
Rippey my Dearly Beloved Son one third part Equal with my Dearly Beloved
Daughter Margery Rippey All and Singular my Moveable Goods & Chattles Money
and Credits as Also the whole of my Plantation when he comes of the Age of
twenty one years, its my Will and I do order that the above said Hugh Rippey
be first apprenticed to Such a trade as my Excr Shall think Suitable for
said Hugh Rippey. Item I give and bequeath to Agness my Dearly Beloved
Daughter the one other third Part of all and singular my moveable Goods and
Chattles Money and Credits. Item it is my Will and I order that if it
Please God to Remove any of the above Named Children by Death before they
come to the Years of Maturity that his or her Part be Equally Divided Among
the Afforsaid Children or Child that it shall please God to Spare. Item it
is my Will and I order that there be taken of the whole of my personall
Estate ??? for the Support of my Loving Wife Mary my Children untill next
Summer Item it is my Will and I order that if any of the Perishable Goods
which is for the Support of my Loving Wife and my Children through
Misfortune before Division there be Lost that such losses be taken of the
Whole ?ead & Last I do appoint that my Beloved Wife and my Brother Samuel
Rippey do Execute this my Last Will Revoking all former Wills I do publish
pronounce and Declare this to be my Last Will and Testament Under my hand
and Seal this Sixteenth Day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand
and Seven Hundred & fifty eight

Issued to Mary Rippey & Samuel Rippey in Common Form Inventory to be
exhibited on or before the 8th day of Dec next and Acct of the

of Office Harmanus Aldrich
