This cabinet card photo has a black card, which the web says were used from 1877 to 1887.
Photo of Charles Langenheim (my Great Grandfather) who lived in Burgettstown, Cross Creek, Jefferson Twp., (on the Robert Anderson Farm) in Washington County, Pennsylvania.
He was born 1825 in Switzerland and died 1899 Jefferson, Washington, Pennsylvania.
He had married Mary Magdalene Andrews between 1861 to 1864 in Pennsylvania. Mary was the daughter of John Randolph Andrews and Elizabeth (unknown maiden name). Both from Switzerland, they also lived in Jefferson Twp.
They had 4 boys, Albert (1865-1940), William (18678-), John Randolph (1869-1936), Abraham (1873-1948), and Peter (1876-).
