(title) General Chairman Edward Yablonski Announces Plans to Hold Miners' Holiday Parade At Brownsville [Pa]-- (subtitle) APRIL 1 TRADITIONAL HOLIDAY FOR WORKERS (end titles)--


Preliminary plans for a gigantic MITCHELL Day celebration in Brownsville [Pa] April 1 were completed at a meeting of the committee in the office of Burgess Walter L. STUART, Brownsville [Pa], last night.

Edward YABLONSKI is serving as general chairman of the committee.

All locals from District 4 and 5 will be represented in the mammoth (sic) parade being arranged. A number of high school bands from the area are being invited to help make the celebration one of the best in years.

Preliminary plans call for the parade to start at the top of Market street at Brownsville [Pa] and continue down the hill to Market street and to the old athletic field. A speaking program is being planned and will take place at the old athletic field.

A general meeting of all officials from Districts 4 and 5 will be held Sunday, March 7, at the Moose home, Brownsville [Pa]. Complete plans for the celebration will be made.

Assisting Mr. YABLONSKI in arranging for the parade and speaking program are:

Finance-- Robert GOULD, chairman; Al LAME, Andrew CAIRNS, Kenny WRIGHT, James BROWN.

Publicity -- George MARCHINES, Sam SIMON, John DURGINES, John SAGER, Frank KITKA, Alex KONICK, Howard ELLIS.

Also assisting in arrangements are Burgess STUART, Police Chief John DONALDSON, Ed HUDSON and John LYNGEL, secretary.
