newspaper item, article, notice, obituary, etc. up through 1990.
Transcripts and images of originals: Wills, Probate Accounts,
Deeds, or any other public domain or Court House document. Public Domain
means that the item is not under copyright.
I have 3 websites for Washington County PA, so your submission
will be a likely fit on one of them.
WILL I RECEIVE CREDIT FOR SUBMITTING THE ITEM(S)?
Yes, just include your full name, exactly as you want to see it
on the website.
DO YOU USE MY EMAIL ADDRESS?
Not unless you tell me to put it on the website.
WHAT KIND OF FILE SHOULD I USE?
Websites writes in HTML language, which shouldn't have a lot of
extra coding. For text items, it is best to use a text-Editor (like
Windows Notepad (it doesn't add extra coding -- but you must show where
paragraphs end if you use Notepad). I can convert Microsoft WORD
documents. If unsure, we can discuss it.
Images must be large enough to see details, or read words. I may
have to adjust size, or ask you to re-scan if necessary.
WHAT SHOULD I BE SURE TO INCLUDE WITH MY SUBMISSION?
Along with the item(s), be sure to include the *full source*
information (I may need to ask you for further information for the
"source").
Include your full name, as you want it to appear on the webpage.
ARE THERE SPECIAL THINGS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR?
Photo-scans of any person who lived in the county, any date.
Stories about a person or whole family - a great way to share
part of your heritage, ancestry, and make contact with other researchers!
