Paul F. Thrasher (Edwin, Samuel F., Samuel B., Benjamin, George Thrasher); born April 23, 1936; died July 31, 1993

Married Catherine Louise Shackleton on February 14, 1959; she was born August 12, 1936, daughter of Louis & Helen (Young) Shackleton. She died December 22, 2000.

Paulette Mae DeWald, 61, of Muncy, died October 21, 2004, in the Muncy Valley Hospital. Born in Bradford County April 12, 1943, she was the daughter of Ernest P. and Dorothy (Stephens) Thrasher.

She was the wife of John L. DeWald, Sr. with whom she celebrated a 39th wedding anniversary on August 12, 2004.

Paulette was a 1963 graduate of Turnpike High School at Mildred.

She had worked for many years in the family print shop, DeWald Printing, and their store, the North East Trade Co.

She was a member of the Muncy Baptist Church. Paulette had served as church school secretary for 19 years and as a deaconess and was a member of the church choir, the American Baptist Women, where she had held several offices, and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Amber M. (Rod) Raudabaugh of Loganton; a son, John L. (Chandra) DeWald, Jr. of Muncy; two brothers, Eugene A. Thrasher, Langley, WA; Leon G. Thrasher, Wellsburg, NY; two sister, Peggy Pretti, Whiting, NJ; Sheila Lukowski, Auburn, NY; two grandchildren, John Wesley Raudabaugh and NiKaya Spring DeWald. She was preceded in death by sisters Cherie Ann Beaver and Carol Brennan.

A memorial service was held from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, Muncy, October 24, 2004 with Reverend Duane R. Johnson presiding. Interment was in the Twin Hills Memorial Park.
