Daniel Little, the second son of Theophilus Little and Maria Polhemus, was born in New Jersey 31 December 1771 and died 10 August, 1861. He married Nellie Conover, born 6 April 1772, on 21 March 1796 and they had eight children: James Seabrook b: 1796, Eleanor b:1799, John b:1801, Ann b:1803, Mary b:1805, Lydia b:1806, Peter and William Polhemus Little b: 1812.

They lived in Sullivan County, as did his parents and brothers, where he raised a family. Daniel and Nellie are buried at Eaglesmere.

Their son John Little b:1801 (not to be confused with John[4] b:1796) married Sarah Laird and they four children: Thomas Laird, Amos, Harrie N., and Esther E. Little. Thomas Laird married Anna Pennington and had six children including Charles Wright Little. Thomas Laird Little and many of his descendants were born and raised in Pennsylvania.
