(Old Bill)5, Samuel4, Johan George3, Barnhardt (Bernard George)2, Johan George1) was born May 06, 1873, and died November 1933 in Sullivan County, PA age 61 years.  He married Mary Suber June 02, 1911, daughter of Daniel Suber and Emma/Emily Peterson.  She was born June 08, 1890, and died January 26, 1954. The funeral of Frank Hunsinger, aged 61, was held Friday December 1, from the home of Gilbert Pedro, a son-in-law, at Mildred, Rev. W.H. Fehr conducting the service. Burial took place in the Fairview Cemetery.

The deceased is survived by his widow, Mary nee Suber four daughters and two sons, Mary Ellen wife of Robert Hess, Cora wife of Gilbert Pedro, Louise who is married to Reuben Beaver, Catherine, and Irvin and Wesley.

Miss Catherine (Kate) Isabelle Hunsinger, age 81, of Sullivan Terrace, Dushore, PA passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2005 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA. Kate was born in Cherry Township, Sullivan County, PA on September 3, 1924 a daughter of the late Frank L. & Mary Suber Hunsinger. Kate resided with her sister, Mary Ellen Heath of Mildred, PA until her death in 1992, when Kate moved to Sullivan Terrace in Dushore, PA. She was a loving sister and aunt to here numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Trinity Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Dushore, PA. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters; Cora Pedro and Mary Ellen Heath of Mildred, PA, and Louise Beaver of Elmira, NY; and two brothers, Irvin L. Hunsinger of Mildred and Wesley R. Heath of Elmira, NY. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA with the Rev. Randele Lee Albers, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dushore, PA. (Old Bill)5, Samuel4, Johan George3, Barnhardt (Bernard George)2, Johan George1) was born March 28, 1912.  She married Robert Heath December 26, 1927.  He was born April 29, 1898, and died January 19, 1986 in the Towanda Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA.

Robert Heath, Sr., 87, of Mildred, died January 19, 1986 at Memorial Hospital, Towanda. He was born in Powell, Bradford County, April 29, 1898.

He began working at the age of seven as a breaker boy at Murraytown and continued working in the mines for 50 years. He worked for the White Ash and Connell Mining companies.

Later he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways for eight years until his retirement in 1964.

He married the former Mary Ellen Hunsinger on December 26, 1927.

Mr. Heath was a member of Trinity Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Mildred, and was a member of Local 6765 United Mine workers of America.

Surviving, in addition to his wife are seven sons: Robert, Jr. of New Albany; George, Wesley and James W. all of Mildred; John of Wilkes-Barre; Ernest of Towanda; and James Laverne of Akron, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Cora Elchak of Lopez; Mrs. Margie O'Connor of Mildred; and Mrs. Margaret Hughes of Akron, OH; 27 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held January 22 from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, Dushore, followed by services at Trinity Chapel. The Rev. Richard A. Reeser officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Dushore.

     4.  Louise Jenna7 Hunsinger (Franklin Levi "Skinny"6, William M. (Old Bill)5, Samuel4, Johan George3, Barnhardt (Bernard George)2, Johan George1) was born April 25, 1916, and died September 01, 2003 in Age 87.  She married Reuben Henry Beaver about 1931, son of Theodore Beaver and Maria Morter.  He was born January 13, 1902 in Mildred, PA, and died October 11, 1987 in Saint Josephs Hospital, Elmira, PA.

Louise J. Beaver, Age 87, of Elmira, New York, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to attend committal services on Wednesday, September 3, 2003, at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorial donations can be made in her name to the Lake Street Presbyterian Church, 300 Lake St., Elmira, NY 14901. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.

 

 

The Sullivan Review October 15, 1987

Reuben H. Beaver, 85, of Elmira, a native of Mildred, died October 11, 1987, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Elmira.

He was born January 13, 1902 in Mildred a son of Theodore and Maria Morter Beaver.

Mr. Beaver was a retired employee of the Remington-Rand Co. with 26 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, the former Louise Hunsinger, to whom he was married 56 years; two daughters, Lillian M. Earl of Elmira; and Lois C. Lenox of Elmira; a brother, Theodore, of Forksville; a sister Laura Cosa of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held October 13, in Elmira with Rev. John B. McLaren, pastor of the Lake Street Presbyterian Church, Elmira.

     14.  Robert8 Heath (Mary Ellen7 Hunsinger, Franklin Levi "Skinny"6, William M. (Old Bill)5, Samuel4, Johan George3, Barnhardt (Bernard George)2, Johan George1) was born December 15, 1928 in Dushore, PA, and died May 21, 2004.  He married Louise B. Montanye January 12, 1952.  She died February 07, 1993.

Robert Heath Jr., age 75, of New Albany, Pa. passed away on Friday, May 21, 2004 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, Pa.

     Bob was born in Dushore, Pa. on December 15, 1928, the son of the late Robert Sr. and Mary Ellen Hunsinger Heath. He attended Cherry Township High School and married the former Louise B. Montanye of Elmira, N.Y. on Jan 12, 1952. Louise predeceased him on February 7, 1993.

Bob served with the U.S. Army in Korea and after the war, worked at the Endicott Johnson Shoe Mfg. Co. of Mildred, Pa. and was also engaged in Logging. He later went to work for GTE Sylvania in Towanda from which he retired after more than 25 years of service.

Bob loved farming which he did during all of his working and retired years. He raised horses and cows and enjoyed going to the different stock yard sales. He also enjoyed being with his grand children and great grandchildren.

He was a member of the Laddsburg Community Church.

Surviving are: his daughter and son-in-law, Mary & Clarence Fenton of New Albany, Pa.; sister and brother-in-law, Margie & Harold O'Conner of Mildred, Pa.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, George & Joann Heath of Mildred, Pa., Wesley & Elizabeth Heath of Colley, Pa., Ernest & Jeannie Heath of Towanda, Pa., John Heath of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; Aunt, Catherine Hunsinger of Laporte, Pa.; brothers-in-law and spouses, Lyman Montanye of Elmira, N.Y., Philo & Agnes Montanye of Millerton, Pa., Lester Montanye of Pine City, N.Y., Raymond & Marjorie Montanye      of Chemung, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Maryetta Voorhees of Columbia Cross Roads, Pa.; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a Sister Cora Elchak of Lopez, Pa., on Dec. 3, 2003, and a brother, James W. Heath of Mildred, Pa., on Dec. 3, 1988.

Services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, Pa., and will be followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Laddsburg Community Church, with the Rev. Sam Jordan, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dushore, Pa.

Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer funeral home on Sunday, May 23, 2004 from 2 to 9 p.m.

Graveside Military Services will be accorded by McDermott Post #452 American Legion, Mildred, Pa. Members are asked to assemble and pass in review on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

     15.  Cora8 Heath (Mary Ellen7 Hunsinger, Franklin Levi "Skinny"6, William M. (Old Bill)5, Samuel4, Johan George3, Barnhardt (Bernard George)2, Johan George1) was born April 15, 1930, and died December 2003.  She married Nicholas Elchak May 21, 1949.  He died June 16, 1982.

     Cora M. Elchak, age 73, of Lopez, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, Pa.

Cora was born in Cherry Township, Sullivan County on April 15, 1930 a daughter of the late Robert & Mary Ellen Hunsinger Heath. She attended local schools and married Nicholas Elchak of Lopez, Pa. on May 21, 1949. Nicholas predeceased her on June 16, 1982.

Cora, affectingly known as "Sissy" was a homemaker and a loving spouse and mother. She was a member of Trinity Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Mildred, PA.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Judy Elchak of Monroeton, Pa; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Robert Ayres of Granville Summit, Pa.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Heath Jr., New Albany, Pa., George and Joan Heath of Mildred, Pa., John Heath of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Wesley and Elizabeth Heath of Colley, Pa., Ernest and Jeannie Heath of Towanda, Pa., sister and brother-in-law, Margie & Harold O'Connor of Mildred, Pa., an aunt, Catherine Hunsinger of Laporte, Pa., brothers-in-laws and spouses, Michael and Anne Elchak of Monroeton, Pa., Leo and Delores Elchak of Lopez, Pa.; sister-in-law and spouse, Alice and Walter Shepherd of Blue Hill, Maine; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, James Heath on Dec. 3,1988.

The funeral will be on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Mildred, Pa., with the Rev. Randele Lee Albers, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining parish cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 5, at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA from 3 to 5 p.m.

     17.  Angelo Frank8 Pedro (Cora Elizabeth7 Hunsinger, Franklin Levi "Skinny"6, William M. (Old Bill)5, Samuel4, Johan George3, Barnhardt (Bernard George)2, Johan George1) was born April 26, 1934.  He married (1) Mary Carole Thrasher about 1952, daughter of Ernest Thrasher and Dorothy Stephens.  She was born October 11, 1935, and died January 16, 1999.  He married (2) Shirley Ortlieb October 02, 1959, daughter of Bernard Ortlieb and Bertha Wagner.  She was born 1930.

 

After her divorce, Shirley married Angelo "Bud" Pedro. Bud Pedro had previously been married to Carol Thrasher with whom he had three children. He had a general contracting business in Dushore, PA.

 

 

Children of Angelo Pedro and Mary Thrasher are:

      35          ii.   Michelle Susan Pedro, born August 15, 1955.

      36         iii.   Tina Louise Pedro, born August 12, 1957.

    

Children of Angelo Pedro and Shirley Ortlieb are:

      37          i.   Angelo F9 Pedro.

      38          ii.   Marci Rae Pedro, born May 24, 1963; died December 20, 1985 in A car accident in Germany.  She married Mr. Beighley.

Airman 1st Class Marci Kae Pedro Beighley, 22, formerly of Dushore, died December 20, 1985, in Pruem, West Germany from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

She was born in Towanda May 24, 1963, a daughter of Angelo F. and Shirley Ortlieb Pedro of Dushore. A graduate of Sullivan County High School, she was Salutatorian of the class of 1981 and graduated from the Central Pennsylvania Business School in Harrisburg in 1983.

She was executive secretary for Representative Gruppo of Northampton County in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, and was also a secretary for the Pennsylvania State Civil Service Commission. On January 2, 1985, she enlisted in the United States Air Force and took basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. Following this, she was stationed at Kessler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi. When she graduated from the Air Force Computer Maintenance School October 31, 1985, she was assigned to the Tactical Control Squadron at the Pruem Air Station in West Germany.

She was married July 6, 1985, to William T. Beighley, Jr. of Universal City, Texas.

Mrs. Beighley was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Dushore.

Surviving, besides her husband and parents, are her paternal grandmother, Cora Pedro of Mildred; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ortlieb of Dushore; brothers, Angelo F. Pedro of Dushore and Gary Peterson of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters Judy Streby of Overton; Enola Nelson, Michelle Collins and Tina Nichols, all of Elmira; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held December 28 at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, Dushore and at Zion Chapel, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Dushore, with Rev. Richard A. Reeser officiating. Interment was in Old Zion Cemetery, Dushore. Full military honors were accorded at graveside by a contingent of U.S. Air Force personnel from Griffiss AFB, Rome, NY.

Memorials may be directed to the Zion Chapel Memorial Fund, in care of Florence Toothaker, Dushore.

 

 

     22.  Richard Wesley8 Pedro (Cora Elizabeth7 Hunsinger, Franklin Levi "Skinny"6, William M. (Old Bill)5, Samuel4, Johan George3, Barnhardt (Bernard George)2, Johan George1) was born August 26, 1945.  He married Catherine Rose Rohe in Pennsylvania, they divorced, daughter of Lawrence Rohe and Alverta Crouse.  She was born November 24, 1947.

 

Children of Richard Pedro and Catherine Rohe are:

+    39          i.   Richard Wesley9 Pedro, born March 18, 1967.

      40          ii.   Terry Lynn Pedro, born September 23, 1969.  She married Randy Lewis August 14, 2000.

 

      41         iii.   Catrina Ann Pedro, born May 01, 1971.

     39.  Richard Wesley9 Pedro (Richard Wesley8, Cora Elizabeth7 Hunsinger, Franklin Levi "Skinny"6, William M. (Old Bill)5, Samuel4, Johan George3, Barnhardt (Bernard George)2, Johan George1) was born March 18, 1967.  He married Antoinette Marie Chek February 15, 1986.
