Wellsville Postcard Collection

The postcards photographed here were found in the estate papers of Roger Sweeney (1914-1998), son of William and Lillie (McIntyre) Sweeney, and also grandson of Rodger and Mary (Sweeney) Sweeney of Wellsville, NY. We are grateful to Kathleen (Sweeney) Leavitt Cragun and her daughters Christy (Leavitt) Peterson and Sheree (Leavitt) Hansen for this contribution to the Sweeney history. The cards seem to range over the period from 1905-1930 or thereabouts.

Just a reminder...these Sweeneys are related by blood to the same Sweeney family that settled in Sullivan County, PA in the 1840s and whose stories are told throughout the Sullivan County Genealogical Web Page.
