The Descendants of Reuben Fetherbay

Generation No. 1

1. Reuben Fetherbay (Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee) was born December 30, 1868, and died 1942. He married Mary L Reibson. She was born 1870, and died 1956. Reuben was actually the child of John and Mary Helen Potter Madison. He was born in Tuscarora Township, Bradford County, PA. When his parents divorced, he was adopted by Christopher "George" Fetherbay and raised as his own child.

2. Walter Featherbay (Reuben Fetherbay, Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee) was born 1890, and died 1959. He married Nellie Kilmer. She was born August 07, 1892, and died November 13, 1973. Both are buried Bethel Cemetery

Children of Walter Featherbay and Nellie Kilmer were:

+ 6 i. Howard Earl Featherbay, born February 02, 1915 in Dushore, Pennsylvania.

+ 7 ii. Marlea Etna Featherbay, born 1920.

6. Howard Earl Featherbay (Walter, Reuben Fetherbay, Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee) was born February 02, 1915 in Dushore, Pennsylvania; died February 11, 2002. He married Leona Pearl Finkle, born April 8, 1917; died May 21, 2005. The information on this family was provided by Phillip Bruce Featherbay, Sr. in April 2007.

Children of Howard Earl and Leona Pearl (Finkle) Featherbay were:

+ 10 i. Barbara Jean Featherbay, born April 04, 1939 in Binghamton, New York; died April 4, 2005. Her married surname was Barbara Jean St Amand.

+ 11 ii. Philip Bruce Featherbay, born December 12, 1947 in Endicott, New York.

7. Marlea Etna Featherbay (Walter, Reuben Fetherbay, Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee) was born in 1920. She married Robert Towner on May 13, 1947, son of Thomas Towner and Ethel Pardoe. He was born April 16, 1923 in Canton, PA, and died September 25, 2002 in the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. He is buried in the Windfall Cemetery, Granville Twp., Bradford County, PA as a US ARMY VETERAN

Robert P. Towner, 79, of Rome, Pa., died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa.

Born April 16, 1923 in Canton, Pa, he was a son of the late Thomas and Ethel Pardoe Towner. Robert was a graduate of Canton High School class of 1942 and later served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On May 13, 1947 he married the former Marlea Etna Featherbay. In early years, Robert was employed by ANSCO Corp. in Binghamton, NY and by the Endicott Johnson Shoe Company. He later purchased his Aunt Maude Warren's farm at Windfall which he operated for many years.

Robert was later employed by the Swayze Folding Box Company in Canton, by Remington Rand Corp, in Elmira, NY for 12 years, and by the Endicott Johnson Shoe Company for 28 years until his retirement.

Mr. Towner was a member of American Legion Post No. 945, Wormleysville, Pa. and was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Surviving are: his wife of 55 years, Marlea Etna Towner; his daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Charles Hutchinson of Newark Valley, NY; two grandsons, Robert H., Hutchinson of Newark Valley, NY, and Brian M. Hutchinson of Newark Valley, NY; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Rita Towner of Enola, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Joyce Boyles of Williamsport, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral and committal service will be held Sunday, September 29, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave. Towanda, Pa. with the Rev. Harry L. Ferguson, officiating. Interment will be in the Windfall Cemetery, Granville Twp., Pa.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be directed to Guthrie Hospice, RR 1 Box 154, Towanda, Pa. 18848 in Mr. Towner's memory.

+ 13 i. Sandy Towner.

8. Joyce Featherbay (Walter, Reuben Fetherbay, Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee); married Donald Boyles. They had three children.

Generation No. 4

10. Barbara Jean Featherbay (Howard Earl, Walter, Reuben Fetherbay, Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee) was born April 04, 1939 in Binghamton, New York. She married James St Amand. She died on April 4, 2005.

They resided in Liberty, New York.

Children of Jean Featherbay and James St Amand were:

+ 17 i. Amanda St Amand.

18 ii. Joshua St Amand.

19 iii. Caroline St Amand, born in Ashville, North Carolina.

11. Philip Bruce Featherbay (Howard Earl, Walter, Reuben Fetherbay, Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee) was born December 12, 1947 in Endicott, New York. He married Marylee ________; she died April 11, 2004. He then remarried to Diana DeSantis on May 22, 2005.

Child of Philip Bruce Featherbay was:

+ 20 i. Philip Bruce Featherbay II.

13. Sandy Towner (Marlea Etna Featherbay, Walter, Reuben Fetherbay, Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee); married Charles Hutchinson.

Children of Sandy Towner and Charles Hutchinson were:

21 i. Robert Hutchinson.

22 ii. Brian Hutchinson.

Generation No. 5

17. Amanda St Amand (Jean Featherbay, Howard Earl, Walter, Reuben Fetherbay, Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee); married James Cable. They had four children.

20. Philip Bruce Featherbay II (Philip Bruce, Howard Earl, Walter, Reuben Fetherbay, Christopher George, James Featherbay, James or Mathew Fetherbee); marred Tammy Sue Wormuth.

Children of Philip Bruce Featherbay II and Tammy Sue Wormuth are:
