Married CAROLINE KINSLEY 1854-1924; she was the daughter of Charles Kinsley and Mary Bahr.

Clinton A. Dieffenbach of Cherry township, died Wednesday afternoon at his home following an illness of some time, at the age of 83 years. For more than fifty years he has been a member of Dushore Lodge No. 494 I.O.O.F. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John W. Randall of Forksville and three sons, Morgan Dieffenbach of Scranton, William H. Dieffenbach, jeweler of this place, and John Dieffenbach at home. Also six grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. George W. Heverly of Sayre also survives.
Funeral service will be held at his late home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the family plot in Bahr Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Clinton A. Dieffenbach died Monday morning at her home in Cherry Township, at the age of 70 years.  Mrs. Dieffenbach has been in poor health for about four years. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. John Randall of Forksville, three sons, Morgan Dieffenbach of Scranton, William Dieffenbach of Dushore, and John Dieffenbach at home.  Also one brother, Lewis O. Kinsley of Cherry township.
Funeral services will be held at the home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Interment will be made in the Bahr Hill cemetery.

Morgan E. Dieffenbach died Tuesday, May 20^th at his home in Scranton, following an illness of seven years, at the age of 73 years.

He was born in Cherry Township, a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Clinton Dieffenbach.  For the past 40 years he has made his home in Scranton, where he has been employed as a dental supply serviceman.
Mr. Dieffenbach is survived by his wife, Ruby Dieffenbach, a son Morgan Dieffenbach; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Kenney; a granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. John W. Randall of Forksville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held from the Tague Funeral Home, Scranton, Friday, afternoon, May 23^rd.  Rev. R.J. Williams pastor of Ebenezer Welsh Presbyterian Church officiated.
Interment in Washburn Street cemetery, Scranton.

Mrs. Mary Dieffenbach, wife of Morgan Dieffenbach, died at their home in Scranton on Monday, August 7, in her 35^th year.  The deceased had been in poor health for some time, and although her illness was of a serious nature her death at this time was very unexpected, the news of which was a great shock to her many friends and relatives in this vicinity.  The remains were brought to Dushore on the evening train Tuesday and taken to the home of Mr. Dieffenbach’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Dieffenbach.  The funeral was held this (Wednesday) morning in St. Basil’s church at 10 o’clock, with interment in the church cemetery.
Mary Ryan Dieffenbach was the daughter of MR. and Mrs. William Ryan of Mildred.  She was united in marriage to Morgan Dieffenbach about six years ago.  After the marriage they resided in Mildred until four years ago, when they moved to Scranton where they have since resided.  Besides her husband Mrs. Dieffenbach is survived by her parents, and two brothers, Charles and Joseph Ryan both of Mildred.

William H. Dieffenbach, died Saturday morning, February 27th in the Rothfuss Clinic, Williamsport, following an illness of about one week of pneumonia.
Mr. Dieffenbach was born in Cherry Township, in 1877, a son of Clinton A. and Caroline Kinsley Dieffenbach.
Mr. Dieffenbach was a jeweler by trade, opening a shop on Main Street about 40 years ago and continuing in the business at the same stand until the time of his death.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. John Randall of Forksville, one brother, Morgan Dieffenbach of Scranton, a sister-in-law, Mrs. John Dieffenbach at home, and four nieces and four nephews.
Funeral service was held Monday afternoon from his late home in Cherry Township, Rev. Carl F. Gunther officiating. Burial was in the family plot in Bahr Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Mayme Dieffenbach Randall of Forksville passed away very suddenly Wednesday afternoon, at her home, following a short illness, at the age of 70 years.
Mrs. Randall was born in Cherry Township, November 16, 1880, a daughter of the late Clinton and Caroline Kinsley Dieffenbach, since her marriage she has lived at Forksville, where she was very active in the affairs of her community.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Randall; two sons, Stafford Randall of Cherry Township; John Randall, Jr., of Endwell, N.Y. a daughter, Mrs. Caroline Maass of Vestal, N.Y. and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, at 2 p.m. at the Forksville Methodist Church, with Rev. Kenneth Bonham officiating.
Burial will be in Forksville cemetery.

Miss Frances Rohe, daughter of Mr. G. Ralph Rohe of Cherry township, and Stafford Randall, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Randall of Forksville, were married at 8 o’clock Monday morning at St. Basil’s church. Rev. J. J. King performed the ceremony.
They were attended by Miss Rosemary Gainer and Lawrence Rohe, brother of the bride. The bride wore a powder blue crepe dress with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of roses and baby’s breath. The bridesmaid wore a navy blue chiffon dress with matching accessories and carried snapdragons.
The happy couple left on a trip through the Western states. After their return they will reside at the home of the bride’s father.

Stafford E. Randall, 83, of Dushore RD, Cherry township, died January 11, 1990, at Memorial Hospital, Towanda.
He was born September 13, 1906, in Forksville, a son of John W. and Mary Dieffenbach Randall.
A lifetime resident of Sullivan County, he was a dairy farmer for many years, and later was employed at the Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation for 25 years. He retired in August 1973.
Mr. Randall served as a forest fire warden for 35 years.
He was a member of St. Basil's Catholic Church, Dushore.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Rohe Randall; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Tootie) Yankalunas of Dushore RD; a grandson, Eric Yankalunas; and a brother, John Randall, of Binghamton, NY.
Funeral services were held January 13, at the Russell P. McHenry Funeral Home, Dushore, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Basil's Church. Rev. Patrick McLaughlin officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

John Leonard Dieffenbach, died March 15th at his home in Cherry Township, following a short illness of pneumonia.
Mr. Dieffenbach was a son of Clinton A. Dieffenbach and was a World War Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Davis Dieffenbach, two daughters, and one son. Also one sister Mrs. John Randall of Forksville, two brothers Morgan Dieffenbach, of Scranton and William H. Dieffenbach of this place.
Funeral Services were held from his late home Sunday afternoon. Interment in the Bahr Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Marjorie Dieffenbach of Dushore passed away at the Robert packer hospital Saturday nigh, April 24, after a short illness.
Mrs. Dieffenbach was born in Canton on October 27, 1890 the daughter of Blythe and Jennie Akres Davison.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jane Shrimp of Dushore and Mrs. Helen Bardell of Georgia one son, John at home; three sisters, Mrs. E.B. Innes, Mrs. James Coons and Mrs. William foster, all of Canton; one brother Thomas B. Davison of Mechanicsburg; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held from her late home Wednesday afternoon at 2, with the Rev. L.A. Fuhrman officiating.  Burial was in Fairview cemetery.

Jennie C. (Jane) Shrimp, 64 of Ulster, formerly of Dushore died Oct. 1, 1987, at the Maple Lane Personal Care Home.  She was born April 11, 1923, in Dushore a daughter of John L. and Marjorie Dieffenbach.
She was a lifetime resident of Sullivan County until 1977 when she moved to Ulster.
She was the widow of Arthur M. Shrimp who died in 1977.
Surviving is a brother, John L. Dieffenbach of Ulster RD, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held Oct. 5 at the Russell P. McHenry Funeral Home, Dushore, with Rev. Karen Easterly officiating.  Burial was in Fairview Cemetery Dushore.
