Editor's Note: This church and cemetery played a central role in the Irish Settlement community that lived and farmed in the area of Wilmot and Stowell, PA from the middle of the nineteenth century into the late twentieth century. Such families as Cummiskey, Kinsley, Brennan, Hope, Burke, Saxe, McDonough, O'Neill and more raised families, prayed and went about their lives as practicing Catholic farmers and merchants in the shadow of their church. You will find the known interments listed below. You can read more about these families in several locations on this site, but primarily at John Kinsley's Irish Settlement: 1830-1986. Here also are two snapshots of life in this community, one a marriage announcement from 1902, the second a group religious occasion held at the church in 1932.
