In July 2004, Diane Junk Riley provided the pictures that are posted at the end of the transcription below. According to Diane, the Junk property and cemetery are no longer in the family, but the current owners said that they would like to clean it up a bit, and learn more of the Junk family history. We are grateful to the Krauses and to Diane for their contributions and their interest in local history.

In August 2014, we heard from Mary Ellen Hoffman who, with her husband, bought the land where the Junk Cemetery is located. According to Mary Ellen:

My father in law bought the former Junk property years ago and it is so peaceful and beautiful. I have many photos of the cemetery, along with the family monument that appears in all information of those who passed, I have taken many photos of the smaller "simple" stones. I spent Mother's Day weekend of 2014 there and felt compelled to place flowers on a small stone that simply said "Mother". I then took photos. I just spent this last July 4th weekend there, As I have on Memorial Day & Veteran's Day, I was sure to spend a moment to pay homage and respect to our Civil War Vet. who sleeps his last sleep within the property and home we love so dearly. I was surprised and pleased to see "our" small historical cemetery shared for those searching for genealogical connections. If I can help in any way, please let me know, also happy to share any photos I've taken.

In July 2016, we heard from Mary Ellen again Just wanted to fill you in on some changes at our little mountain house cemetery. As promised, we have been working hard to tidy up the Junk Family Cemetery. I purchased some used weather proof white picket fence online. I am short a few pieces...so it's not finished, but as you can see, looks so much nicer. My father-in-law is an amazing wood worker and plans on making a sign. We will keep you informed. Here is what the cemetery looks like now:
