Lloyd Crawford's Last Letter |
This page contains the envelope and four pages of the final letter Lloyd Benjamin Crawford (1893-1918) wrote before he shipped off to fight in World War One. He wrote to his sister, Ellen Crawford (later Shefler), in Dushore, PA, from Camp Lee, VA. Lloyd was the first casualty of the war from Sullivan County. He died of pneumonia while onboard ship bound for France.
