died, Walter in 1931 & Amanda in 1943. They are both buried at Otterbein Cemetery, Wilbur,

| John G & Rebecca Witt (photo
was taken near the Well in Wellersburg, Penn.) This is John G. Witt, son of John Witt and
Rebecca Margaret Korns, who was born on 13 Jun 1821 Allegany Co., MD, and died 25 May 1906
Wellersburg, Somerset County PA, and his wife Rebecca Shaffer, daughter of Gideon Shaffer
and Barbara Kennell, born on 27 Sep 1823 Wellersburg, PA and died 1913
in Wellersburg, PA. At one time they lived on a farm just south of the PA/MD border at Wellersburg.
I was told the place was a stage coach stop. He was a wagonmaker and wheelwright. Four
children: Angeline, John Williamson, Levi, George Washington. |
