LAMBERT CEMETERY

Situated in Stonycreek Twp., Somerset Co., PA., on the old John Lambert Farm. This family plot is in the center of farm fields and is not visible from any road. Be prepared to hike a bit! From Shanksville, take the Lambertsville Road (SR 1007) north, at the first fork in the road, turn right onto SR 1019. Continue north on this road until you pass Bridge Street on the right. Almost immediately after passing Bridge street, you will see Cheerful Valley Road. Park your car here at the end of this road. Walk in front of the old rusting car carrier and keeping the tree line to your left, walk in an 'L' shape around the edge of this field on the tractor path. After the tree line ends, continue following the tractor path for 1/10 mile. At the top of the hill, you will see the cemetery. Here is a photo.
