Sign Post	Sign Post	Sparta	Zion Church	Zion Stone Church The oldest church in the Tamaqua area was created in 1790, a union church for both Reformed and Lutheran congregations. Constructed of logs, it was replaced by the present stone structure in 1846. Prior to 1790, both congregations met in a log building located near the church.
