Perry County Democrat (New Bloomfield, Pa.)

The Milltown, Spring township, school house narrowly escaped destruction by fire on Monday morning of last week.  When Miss Showalter, the teacher, opened the door she found the room full of smoke, the floor burned through, the stove tumbled over and the chimney down.  The fire was soon extinguished.  It is thought that some persons had been in the room during the night who had no business there.
