Bloomfield, April Sessions 1827
We the Members of the Grand Jury of Perry County have obey'd the Directions of
the Honorable Court in viewing the Prison of said County & find the House in
Good Condition, the Prisoners are well pleased with their treatment & say
they receive no liquor but their provisions are good ___ like were have viewed
the Jail yard & find it not sufficeint we therefor recommend the
Commissioners of the County to erect a sufficient wall of stone & lime &
to extend the wall as far as the ground will admit on the Jail lot.
